1 in 3 is still a upgrade on Lennon, AG will be welcome and will receive full backing of 'the chin' should he arrive

There's the problem right there. Twitter, Q&A's and the persistent effort to get info from him that he doesn't actually offer up muddies the waters. One never knows wether its ITK or his opinion.

I get the feeling with JJ and it is just a feeling that he knows we are looking elsewhere on this and that AG is not the primary target...like I say just a feeling.

Good to hear we're looking to get the defensive players in sooner rather than later(assuming it wasn't just Vorm and Davies). All this Griezmann talk sounds very expensive, I'd rather we waited to see who fits in where in Poch's attacking system, then who we can shift on and after that we can go for a crazy last few days of the transfer window like the good old days.

The latest bit from the Goat is encouraging, even if it includes yesterday's signings. We only really need one more CB, maybe two if we're bringing in somebody for the future. Vertonghen, Chiriches and Kaboul are all still very capable.

Also great to hear that stuff about Lamela.

I don't get all of this 1 in 3 chat about Griezmann, do we have any players currently that 'perform' every game ?
Last player that we had was Bale. Those types of players are a rare breed & there's a reason they end up playing for the likes of Madrid or Barca.

100 % agree. Schneiderlin and Griezmann would be absolute key and another level.

Spot on. With Pochettino, front 4 are going to rotate within most matches anyway. Especially Lamela will float all over the final 3rd.

Lennon did reasonably well last night but we'd be mad to not bring in someone for that left hand side. I know they'll interchange but its an area we need to strengthen.

Lennon and Townsend are not good enough for first team spots in an aspiring Tottenham team IMO. Squad players for me.

Some encouraging snippets from the Goat there although after yesterdays splurge, I think the next couple of transactions will have to be playings leaving with Sandro seemingly heading the queue.

Great to hear re Lamela though and if he finds his mojo this year he will be a real revelation in the Premier League i'm sure of it.

Griezmann and Schneiderlin would be unbelievable business but i'm very sceptical of snaring the former. As for CB's, well, I think our net should be cast far and wide and personally, i'd be disappointed if Vlaar was our main target as he's another Dawson mk2 IMO and not conducive in Poch's system.
