Blake was moaning about a player we had ITK on. We've had no Townsend ITK.

A&C has said in the first post of the thread he is clamping down on this stuff because of what went on over the weekend and the start of the week and this thread has been better for it. It's been good enough for everyone else but dan still went on.

The adequate role does pertain to Townsend, no? Cover for Griezmann? As he is primarily a left footed winger? Or am I wrong? He is allowed to justify how the role has been adequately filled?? Or do we just laugh at the jokes which apparently has everything to do with ITK?

I do not justify his conduct after being banned, but banning him was baseless IMO.

So I'm saying it's the club's opinion. That would seem to be the rationale for not being in for him. If the club thought he was brilliant then we would most likely be interested in him wouldn't we?

The JJ quotes were posted quite early on in this thread by yours sincerely. I read it as his personal opinion, and "we" was absolutely not used.

Not sure Ill be paying much attention to the Vlad stuff for just now, as it really makes no sense at this point.

I mean c'mon, if Daws goes, can we really see ourselves getting in 2 CBs and maybe even 3 if Kaboul suffers a setback ?!

I'm placing my faith in Kaboul and boldly believing he will have a good season, but to rely on him whilst thinning out our CB Corps is asking for trouble and you just know it would bite us in the ass.

Maybe we just buy Moreno anyway ? It's not like a broken leg is career threatening in today's game and the recovery time is what ?

Probably can't for various reasons but it I imagine Moreno could be back and playing well before the turn of the year and he is a former Poch disciple

I don't, he got 'the eye' so if he got banned after that it means he ignored the eye, an SC member must have lived on the moon last few days to not know about the eye and the rules that go with it, made his bed let him lie in it

I've been a member for many years, and this is the first time I've heard of 'the eye'....

Kaboul looks pretty fit. If he can stay that way, there's no CB I'd rather have.

Also thought Veljkovic did well the other day, but may end up in midfield.

Maybe Pochettino is giving the likes of Kaboul, Veljkovic and Fryers the chance to prove their fitness/ability in preseason before deciding whether to buy another CB?

Without wishing to prolong the debate, the players mentioned in the ITK are Schneiderlin and Griezmann - that's who is safe to discuss. Otherwise we can just debate the whole fucking squad for any transfer - e.g. any foreign player who might be shipped out as we are at our limit for the PL.

There are many posts before danetheyid posted his, which discusses how Lennon and Townsend can interchange blah blah blah.. and that the ITK might be referring to Townsend or whoever. The rules applicable to one is applicable to others.

He did make a mistake, he did not quote anyone else's comments before posting, hence it seemed like it was an orphan post. That said, I completely disagree with what you have said, ITK might be about Schneiderlin and Griezmann, but we are not desperate for them because we are covered. That clearly shows he was not wrong to not want Spurs to spunk money on Griezmann, and wanting Townsend to train under Poch, and get better over time. How is that not related to ITK? By that same measure, can we discuss Sandro?

lol now this is becoming confusing. I said "we" to clarify that I viewed it as the club's opinion. You may have read it as his personal opinion but I read him saying that Depay is a possible target and Griezmann isn't. The reasoning being that Griezmann is inconsistent. There's no way to say one way or the other whether the last part is the club's opinion or JJ's.

Not exactly, check the RO. Not in the first page of RO at the very least. There has been a lot of mention of MS in the RO, but none on Sandro specifically. We assume he is the one, as there is documented interest in him from Napoli. Further, if ITK is not RO worthy, then how is that ITK?

I'm in here every day, day in day out, from May to fucking September, cajoling and prompting, reminding, reminding and reminding, again and again and again, often to no avail and despite that the number of people who get banned is very, very small. And you come in here like the lone fucking ranger, flit through a few posts and think you've got the full story. You're well wide of the mark.

I did not question your commitment, nor did I have any beef against you. I absolutely understand the levels of frustration you must go through. I admire you for your patience. I know I could not go through with it.

Not all ITK makes the RO for a number of reasons - but can still be discussed.

I understand what you're saying, but to be fair to A&C he puts up with a lot of tangential chat before he unleashes the Ban Stick. The rules with the eye were pretty clear, just because they were introduced recently doesn't mean they should be ignored.

See i've said this and thought this as well. Moreno in last year of contract was being talked about for £8m max. With a broken leg it might come down to £5m or so. And remind me, who's out Chairman....

Fuck the committment, I mentioned it so illustrate the lengths we go to NOT to ban anyone. I've told you that you've got this wrong, can't do any more than that. You think what you want, dunno why I even bothered rising to it really. My bad
