I can't believe that we've failed and the window hasn't even shut yet.

If the window hasn't shut then by default we haven't failed.

However welbeck pans out, it has been another weak transfer window. I dont see us doing anything now. We have bought squad players in - not one stand-out player. Very poor. And we still have a host of average players on the books.

Expectations should be 6th this season. If we are lucky. Its just where we are.

I really do think Lamela will seem like a new marquee signing for us.

So far this has been a sensible, if not particularly exciting or ambitious window. Not great, but it's also not the tragedy some are making it out to be.

Yep it's certainly not a tragedy and people are making it out to be worse than it is because of the teams around us doing some impressive business.

Sadly we simply can't compete and we all need to remember that.

But I do think that, everything considered, we could have done much better in this window.
