Did spurs actually announce it was a loan for doc? Seems only Romano said it was a loan based on the stuff in the doc thread.

Assume that them only announcing this now is because they needed to confirm the Porro signing before they released one of our RWBs. Seems logical in terms of process but just amateur with it all being so last minute. Chain of events of Doc being released and going to AM may have been lined up for a couple of days now waiting to get PP over the line. This coupled with Sporting confirming the HB signing does seem to signal good news that Porro is done.

You seem to be stating as a fact that the club didn't know the transfer rules. Is that based on one ITK saying he "wouldn't be surprised" if they found out from this forum. Doesn't sound like a fact to me.

Terminating Docherty’s contract isn’t the mistake, it is the poor planning and purchasing since Walker left (as they should have been preparing for Trippier to either leave as he did or fade out over time).

If anything, Levy taking a pragmatic financial loss is an all too rare sight for sore eyes

Or how about not wasting another 3m or 4m of club funds (terminating) , when you just wasted 30 day’s negotiating the same cost for your no1 target .

Maybe we’re just tired of the six hours of moaning in this thread, without us having any ITK to cause this moaning. It is, after all, the ITK thread. We have several other threads more appropriate for Enic/Levy/Paratici bashing.

I dont think noise is about Doherty. Its about how badly we are run...for a club which is supposed to be well run club. All the haggling fee over Porro. we lost the loan fee & transfer fee on Doc...

I agree that our squad planning has been messed re: RB/RWB. Yes. But terminating Doc's contract is the right thing to do in the circumstances. We now have two RWBs that we can play (yes, Emerson isn't great and is not the long-term answer).
