I see your point, though I doubt such a thing would have even come to fruition without scientific testing? I speak from the experience of 2 'totally scraped' knees, and Ankylosing Spondylitis in the spine. That tape/strapping did more for me than any of the 16+ tablets I have to take each day (Yes you bastards, I know the medication explains lots lol)

You're quite right in a way. We have used tape for years, especially to correct biomechanical defects. But this new tape is damn expensive and I believe the scientific testing has mainly been done by the manufacturers. I may be off the mark, but I think it's good marketing and image that has made it blow up. I have a good friend who works for a Premiership club. He uses it, but is not convinced at all.

Can't really agree that one. Scored 8 in his first season even though he was behind Keane and Berbs and even Defoe at the start. His second/last season with us was ok - scored 17 goals and helped us beat Man City as well as draw Chelsea away. And one of the four in that 4-4 gainst the goons. He was even out for a month with an injury. Harry just didn't like him as much as Defoe or the transfer money I guess, and even though he wasn't a favourite I think flop is a bit harsh, no?

I was speaking from the supporters perspective, as in most say they don't want another £16m Bent mistake. Just like Pav, when it came to goals per minute on the pitch, Bent was the best striker at the club. Yet that seems to count for literally fuck all.

Yeah I see where you're coming from, then again, when it comes to muscle issues & joint problems, I thing Sports Science is much more advanced than medical science (the surgeon operating on me on Thursday told me it's what he thinks, Google 'Mr Butler Duchy Hospital', he's class ;-) ).. The mirror story is utter rubbish about being slow. Villas agent definitely let slip at the very least 5 weeks before that Villa had agreed with Athletico. Athletico simply could not strike a deal with Barca as us and Arsenal both had better financial deals on the table. We knew well in advance he was not coming, the media just lagged seriously behind on that one.

I apologise for the dembele comment better choice of words would have been alternative therapy. It is a massive thing at the club, we also use Ajaxs facilities in the Netherlands aswell to do some sort of thing with blood. Hence while you will always see injured players Kaboul, Dembele ,etc over there.

You're completely correct. If you faked a quote, which isn't possible, it would probably be called a 'misquote' or a 'lie'. But as you can't twist or alter what someone has said, both those words don't exist.

That assumes he said it to insult DL or THFC and not to tongue-fuck the sphincters of his new team's supporters.

Let's assume his quote is meant in the negative sense towards us and DL. Does it make sense? We got in touch many weeks ago. Were willing to pay almost 3 times what Atletico eventually paid and had several sources, long before Atletico even emerged on the scene, saying that DV and his reps were the ones dragging their feet for whatever reason.

Tape can only do so much. I tried using some of that tape a lot of the top sports people are wearing, on the advice of our club physio, but it made not one bit of difference. Turns out that was because I had/have snapped my ACL and physio had misdiagnosed it. Surgery now imminent. You live and learn eh.
Anyhow, back on topic. Reading the ITK, I believe the variance in stories, is probably down to their sources being at different points of the process, so they hear their littke bit of info and potentially assume that is where the whole deal is at. So, on that basis, I think the Benteke deal may have moved further along than some suggest. I half expect an agreement to be struck whilst we are away, allowing him until the team return, to get himself moved and settled before starting training.
Regarding Chadli, the ITK all suggest it is pretty much in place, waiting for Levy to pull the trigger. May be there is someone else in the background, possibly Pjanic now Roma have signed Strootman, and Levy see's a deal in the offing, below market price. Alternatively, since we already have Bale, Lennon and Townsend, plus Dempsey and Falque, perhaps it is deemed less urgent, so some departures are required before sanctioning another signing.
