I really do think some people on here go a bit over the top with their view of Spurs as some sort of Machiavelian operation when it comes to keeping fans in the dark about transfers etc.

Smokescreens this, diversions that, yadda yadda yadda.

I'm fairly sure the Kane thing has been announced now becuase it's now been finalised. Let's not go over the top over-analysing it just because it's a quite deadline day (which we should all have known was coming anyway).

Announced today to deflect away from no signings? Surely not!

We aren't exactly desperate for signings anyway, so why would there be any need for diversion tactics?

The Jan transfer window is increasing becoming less and less important for clubs not in a relegation battle. This window will be a success if we get rid of Adebayor. I'm not commenting on his ability or workrate, or even if I want him to go but his position has become untenable now, no less because of the wages he commands.

Any chance of an update on how much is raised during the day? Something like a children in need totalizer? maybe get some guests to reveal the running total? might inspire some to donate?

Or maybe have a video of A@C on the street selling big issues and pimping himself out to keep SC running?
