I'd tend to agree. I personally would happily pay £15-20 million. Anymore and we're just spending because we have the money too. No need to get anywhere near the £25-30 million bracket.

Spending because we can and because our pool of targets is shrinking was always the risk

"What I have herd last night is that he was considering staying at the club, but AVB is over the whole saga and is ready to move on as quickly as possible."

I don't quite understand why AVB would have had enough of it all and want Bale to go if he was only recently thinking about staying?

In no way doubt the info, just wondering why AVB would want probably the hottest property in Europe sold because he's "over the whole saga." Surely he'd be like "REALLY?! Fuck yeah!" and then plan the total and utter destruction of Arsenal on Sunday...

Pastore went for 40 odd million last time and the youtube compilation for 2012/13 I just watched was padded out at the end with stuff from his time at Palermo, 2 years prior. Not a great sign?

He'll be way overpriced & seems to be somewhat of an ineffective luxury player.

£10m-£15m? Maybe worth a punt
A likely £25-30m. Fuck that.

Anybody with knowledge of French football or Pastore have any insight into why he has struggled at PSG?

Well let's just say one of the world's epic douche bags has made life for him in Paris a bit tough. And in case you are confused by that comment, notice that all the neg rep as well as the pos rep I will receive will be by people with names like "Sweden Yid" and "Stockholm Lad" and "Ibra is an Ass"

I have little first hand knowledge but a quick look around dug this up:

He never really adjusted to the pace and physicality of Ligue 1

and "short of confidence"

Does this agent have any decent young strikers by any chance? Might fit in with Grey Fox's info RE: Rebic and 2/3 others and what he's just dropped a couple of posts back...

Even worse in the Premier League.
Aye.

Good sign huh?

Our transfers have been excellent so far. Pastore would be a gamble, and an expensive one at that.
Don't be seduced by a big fee and impressive computer game stats, people!

ITK bashing :)

Exactly. A&C has wanted to bash Grey Fox's carrot for a long time. As he once said "I want work that shaft like a starving ape getting his first banana"

That's why GF always signs off his ITK with "No Homo"

Does this agent represent any decent LBs? Or young promising forwards?

Just an idea.
I'm positive AVB doesn't see Rose as the 'answer' to LB, so more than expecting a LB to come in.

I'm guessing we'll see Chiri, Lamela, CM, CF, LB - would also love a RB, but probably not gonna happen yet - before window is done.

It'll be bizarre for us to go and spend £20m+ on Pastore when Bernard was available for just under £20m.

Whatever AVB wants though.

Haha, I hate Ibra, so don't worry about me negging you.

All about timing and mentality. Think DL was in a bit of a different place mentally at that point. Then the gloves came off and and the hands dove into the pockets in earnest.

i live in paris and follow the french league. pastore was bought when paris was bought à la man city and he was one them symbolic buys... and there's not yet a football project there in which he can show his real potential. but, he has been a let down : you never know which "pastore" you'll get from game to game. but he has the skills and the magic and maybe AVB & Spurs can put him right.

The Bale situation could have changed that though? When we were in for Bernard we were confident in Bale staying. With Bale potentially (likely?) leaving and Bernard at Shaktar then Pastore moves up the list?

Two good feet. Very good in possession - always looking for the ball. Like a more flair-y Modric, more attack-minded, though not as efficient as Modders was/is.

A true, exciting number 10. The link between the defenders and the front men.

Just looked up his stats - they won't blow anyone away but then neither did Modric.

Siggy on speed.

IMHO.

Id settle for a Gylfi without his shoe laces tied together!

I'm pretty sure that when I was digging around for release clauses off the back of Storts info, I found evidence of Pastore containing a clause but there was not a figure. Given what PSG paid though, you'd imagine that the clause is probably too high and of no use to us.
