I think that the biggest factor is identifying the best man available to use the new training facilities. They are world class and would assist any coach in performing at the best of his abilities. We could then see the fruits in terms of the young stars coming through
That's a bit cheeky? Some of us older fans, i'm 73, can use computers and follow the gossip and ITK information

I know it's all very lovely having some nice new facilities but really this is being a bit overplayed isn't it ? How good were Swansea's training facilities that Rodgers taught a bunch of 3rd/4th tier footballers how to outplay seasoned EPL teams on ?
We are not going to attract a single player because we have a nicer Jacuzzi than Chelsea are we ? At the end of the day great coaches just need some grass don't they ?

I just think that is the thinking at the top, £40m investment, they want it used properlyI know it's all very lovely having some nice new facilities but really this is being a bit overplayed isn't it ? is having a nice pitch to play on really going to produce noticeably better standard players though?True. But for a moment, remember that Levy's strategy, if all is to be believed, is to grow organically from within, which means huge emphasis being put on this new Academy training facility delivering, and delivering quckly.
Unlike Swansea, Spurs won't necessarily go for Championship / Div One players to load up the first team squad - rather pick these players up in their early development and put them in to this process, driven by this new Coach from top to bottom.

interesting how a large number of young talents come from poorer areas playing on mud, making it easier to play when they finally reach a smooth pitch.
not saying it wont have a difference, barca's la masia academy is testimony to that but in my view the coaches and management of said players has a far bigger impact on progression of youth than the pitch they train on, which is probably one of the reasons redknapp got the boot
Yes you are right, but it is also about the image that the new training facilities creates in the mind of potential transfers to the club whether they are young players for development or top, top, triffic players who we want to sign.

Exactly. It signifies the intent of the club. It looks like an amazing training facility that will show current and prospective players that we have genuine ambition.

Other than it being new what's state of the art about it? Hot and cold running water? I'm genuinely curious to know as haven't spotted anything yet and this drum is being loudly banged.
I'm sure it'll be lovely though.
So...
Nothing of note other than a game of guess the ITK and a "brace yourself!" rallying cry?
Oh, and current SC darlings (and therefore heavily bet on) are Blanc and Deschamps.
Ok, I wonder what we get tomorrow.
