MONTE CARLO - Inter will open their defence of the Champions League title away to Twente at the De Grolsch Veste Stadium on Tuesday 14 September. The Nerazzurri host Werder Bremen in their second game of Group A, and then it's home and away games against Spurs before the return fixture against Twente. Inter wrap up the group stage away to Werder Bremen on Tuesday 7 December.

2010/11 UCL group stage fixtures:
Matchday 1 (Tuesday 14 September): Twente v Inter
Matchday 2 (Wednesday 29 September): Inter v Werder Bremen
Matchday 3 (Wednesday 20 October): Inter v Tottenham Hotspur
Matchday 4 (Tuesday 2 November): Tottenham Hotspur v Inter
Matchday 5 (Wednesday 24 November): Inter v Twente
Matchday 6 (Tuesday 7 December): Werder Bremen v Inter

You are right enough. It was down to all that kind of jiggery pokery, but I think it was because Schalke were paired with Munich, and so had to play on different evenings, as well as avoid a german team.

I was presuming that Bremen and Munich were paired together, so as to avoid clashing on TV schedules, but it was more likely Schalke who were paired with Munich, bcos both qualified automatically, while Bremen went through the qualifiers, and may not have been there.

AH PLEASE LET IT BE HOME FIRST - its the only time i can go to a game... leave for university in the states on the 17. ah that would SUCK BALLS if its away first.

It could be.

It'll definitely be Werder Bremen, one way or the other.

We'll finish off the group with FC Twente!

Mmmm, I think all I have done is confused myself tbh!!!
Its obviously something like that but not quite as I said because we wern't drawn 3 from last, we were drawn 3rd.

Oh well never mind....Bring on Inter Milan!!!

Still don't care! I wasn't sure if my euphoria would last.....but it has.

no no its a personal thing. if it was home id be able to go. im gonna be stuck in chicago for the rest of the year, as of 17th september. still euphoric about the whole thing, naturally.

Uni of Chicago? I spent 4 very happy yrs there. Hyde park is a cracking neighbourhood too.
