Am I totally despondent and depressed at how the results and mainly the performances have gone. YES
Do I even begin to call for the managers head. NO
We can't keep on sacking managers. Look at Arsenal, they stuck with their manager even though they finished 8th for 2 seasons. We need to have patience

Our fanbase is so fickle and weak sauce, not prepared to see through what is actually required in order to reach the intended destination.

Constantly changing the manager solves absolutely nothing. Show some bollocks FFS.

Yes but the club is fickle and weak sauce. Even when the fans have been mostly happy we still sacked Jol. If Ange loses every game till end of season and Levy sacks him come summer why would the fans change. We operate short term so that is the mentality, it comes from the top and works down to the bottom. I back Ange and hope he is here a while and fixes us but I get why some fans have little patience for anything other than short term, that is our history over the last few decades.

Our fans certainly match day going ones are decent. Just watch all the Arsenal run away in the middle of a title charge in the game against Villa. That never would happen with us. Fixing this club isn’t fixing the fans, it’s fixing the club itself particularly the board.

The fans aren’t responsible for the mediocrity on & off the pitch.
Mate, read some of the threads in here.
Yeah, we're losing another game but Christ alive, that doesn't excuse some of the overreaction in here and elsewhere.
There's no such thing as instant success but plenty appear to think that's exactly what they deserve.

But maybe partly responsible for the general feeling around the club and team?

Or are you arguing that fans are a completely pointless part of football?

The fans aren't on the pitch. How is any of this on the fans exactly

This? As in what is happening on the pitch right now?

I haven't suggested it is on the fans and I'm not sure why are you asking me?

Edit: I even clarified I didn't mean on the pitch in the very post you are quoting.

And how many changes in direction?

We need to pick a course and see it through, not keep changing when things get tricky because we just end up going in circles.
I can understand fans being pissed off, I am too but I just can't get my head round people calling for yet another change in manager.

I think it is very rich for Arsenal fans to call us fragile. Them being a club that went through a long period without winning anything so they came up with a whole national holiday for celebrating finishing fourth while Spurs finished fifth.

Then when they finally did win something, Jack Wilshere, a player from their academy chanted about Spurs during their own trophy parade. It was also only two years ago the majority of them were baying for Arteta to be sacked.

I'd argue they're the most fragile fans in the league.

We got 26 points from first 10 games and then 37 points from the next 27 games. Not great reading and lucky for Ange he got such and good start, or we would have been lucky to get into top half with our performances from game 11 to 37..
