As Poch said aftet the game today, we've got 7 games in 20 days. We need to use the squad. And Janssen might even warrant a starting spot on form anyway.
I think you start Kane - at Wembley - and have Janssen ready to come on at 60 minutes or so. Then give Janssen the start next weekend, unless Kane is on a goal-scoring streak...

1st CL game + Wembley = Kane starts (imo)

Right, we need to use the squad. But you don't bloody rest players in the Champions League. It's a busy period, but in that period we play Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Gillingham- that's when you rotate more.

Personally I think the Middlesbrough and Sunderland games are tougher, and more important than the Monaco one...

We start with Poch's preferred starting xl And that should be strong one
Substitutes used as the game progress and scoreline known

What has Dembele done to get everybody's vote He was the one that was caught eye gouging and missed 6 games. He has to earn his place ( like everybody else) back in the side

Full strength? Personally I'd think about resting Kyle as he had trouble over the last year to cope with two games a week. Trippier should be fine for Monaco at home. Today Eriksen, Alli and Son made a mark for themselves, but I would like to see Dembele starting to get him some match fitness. I'd leave Alli out but that won't happen.

----------------------------------------Lloris-------------------------------------------------
Trippier----------Alderweireld---------------Vertonghen---------------------Davies--
---------------------------Dier-------------Dembele----------------------------------
-----Lamela-----------------------Eriksen---------------------------------Son--------
--------------------------------------Kane-------------------------------------------------

Subs: Vorm, Walker, Wimmer, Wanyama, Alli, Sissoko, Janssen

It's the Champions League not the Europa League no resting players IMO.

Rest them in the league cup or something like that

I always feel squad rotation is important, but its very early in the season and we have three clear days between the Monaco and Sunderland fixtures.

I'd bring Dembele back in immediately, we need him up to speed as soon as. Would also give Sissoko a start.

The Gillingham game will be the one to make wholesale changes.

Worth pointing out though, that deeper into the season your strongest eleven isn't always the one you'd pick on paper. Managing the squad is key and some of the England lads will probably be managed even more closely in that regard.

Have you seen our PPG with and without him?

Monaco beat PSG last week. They also finished 3rd in Ligue 1 last season and have a new manager.

If we're going to treat the CL the same way we did with the Europa, what the fuck was the point to last season?

We need to build momentum and need a strong start in the competition. So it has to be what Poch thinks is the best starting eleven for this match; based on fitness, form and tactics. Now is not the time to rest players

What's the point conking out in the last couple of months knackered at the end of this season, like we did the last? We've got a quality squad - I have total faith in Janssen, from everything I've seen of him, he's going to be a real star in this country, if we give him the chance to shine.

Take the risk against weaker teams- e.g. ones that got promoted/nearly relegated last season, not Champions League teams.

People are pissing their pants over these CL games, but we've got a plumb group, we'd have to be hopeless not to get out of it. For, me the real danger is letting City and Chelsea go, by not taking the next month of PL games full throttle. We can be in this title race, but only if we don't get too far behind, and leave ourselves too much to do.

Oh dear. We may have the 'easiest' group, but we're not playing teams from Azerbaijan and Moldova FFS. Leverkusen and Monaco are very good teams, and going to the Russian champions will not be easy either. If you expect us to steamroll through the group, then you're in for a big surprise IMO.

Sure

I still think players need to earn their place in the side. It is not a right. And actualy
PPG this season isn't troubling the stats ( I know he hasn't played yet)

Whenever you bring new players into a side it will change the dynamics of the playing style

I like him and he is in my starting Xl normally but he is not the panacea of all ills either

You don't rest players in the champions league unless you're called Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich

Yes, playing a team we played last year in our Europa group, shows exactly how much bigger the challenge is...

As I said, they just beat PSG 3-1 and they also had to beat Fenerbache and Villarreal (EL Semi-Finalists and 4th placed in La Liga last season) to get to the Group Stage- so they're no mugs regardless of what happened last season.

They don't have a new manager though, no idea where I got that one from.
