If you can't see the need to rotate with Liverpool on Thursday and BHA on Saturday then I suggest you take another look .
I would not play any player who was going to turn out against Liverpool if that means playing some younger players so be it .

Why didn't quote my entire post? The context was there for all to see. I didn't broach the subject of team mentality when facing lower opposition, I simply alluded to the fact team selection needs to be managed to protect our most important players from fatigue. You created this narrative in your head that I'm asking our team to take it easy against Wycombe when you know we have a truncated season and players that need minutes to deal with those upcoming fixtures. You must be fishing for reactions, so I'll give you a creative for that effort.
No I'm saying resting the bigger players is fine if you win. If you don't it's a massive issue as to why we put out a weakened side. As I say fans from every big side, knows that they should be able to rest players going into these sort of games. Doesn't stop them getting knocked out. FA cup upsets happen EVERY single year. The fact our reserves should beat them won't make any difference to them they'll give every last ounce against a top Prem side. I'd be surprised if Jose doesn't start at least 5 first team regulars in this if not more.

In a way, after so long without action due to the funny schedule I actually hope that we do play a few first choice players, even if just for a half to sharpen them up ahead of Liverpool. Also, could be an opportunity to give another go to the idea of Bale, Son and Kane. Something like:

Lloris
Tanganga Rodon Alderweireid Davies
Højbjerg Winks
Lucas Bale Son
Kane

with a view to bringing off Kane, Son and Højbjerg for Vinicius, Bergwijn and Ndombele early in the second half.

5 players get some minutes, Toby and keeper (which obviously have to do less) get full minutes and Tanganga has barely played anyway so if he’s needed because of the injuries to the other right backs on Thursday then giving him a full match in advance might not be an awful idea.

Regardless of who Jose picks for the game, those selected players must maintain a high level of concentration and professionalism in order to perform against any opposition. Now unless you're trying to make a point that the team is more professional and will take the opposition more seriously when Tanguy is playing, I'm not sure how you made the leap that his omission indicates that we won't perform or that we're ripe for an upset. His inclusion will not guarantee us a win anymore than his omission setting us up for a loss. The other players must all show up and perform and do their respective jobs. This is a team game, after all.

Let's hope the selected players can put in a professional performance.

The bigger need is to rotate between the Liverpool and Brighton games as there is only 1 rest day.

The Brighton game is on Sunday.
