I'd be tempted not to play Lamela and Alli against Villa, both are a booking away from a one game ban, which I think would be the Arse game.

Nah full strength whenever possible in the league. The three points against Villa is the absolute priority for me.

Villa are a mess and they won't have a new guy ready in time I don't think, so I'd change it up a bit.

-------------Lloris

Trip---Wimmer-Toby-Davis

-------Dembele--Mason

---Townsend--Alli---Njie

------------- Kane

but I should imagine we'll go full strength villa and rest against Anderlecht

I know what you are saying, but they will both more than likely miss either the Chelsea or West Ham games that follow if they pick up a yellow anyway so they might as well play. They will miss one big game regardless.

Loris

Walker Toby Jan Rose

Dier Alli

Lamela Dembele Eriksen

Kane

Then for Anderlecht

Vorm

Tripper Wimmer Fazio(still alive?) Davies

Bentaleb Mason

Townsend Lamela Onomah

Njie
Lamela plays Thursday because he will probably be suspended for the NLD. Bentaleb if fit. If not, then Carroll. No risks ahead of the game v Woolwich.

Son is more likely to be back for those. Id personally like to know Lamela is going to start vs the Scum - the team playing the best of the 3.

If Son is guaranteed to be back for Chelsea it would be great. He will destroy their back 4 and it could be another great day at the Lane that day. Lamela will be key for two out of three though.

Oh definitely! I just dont think he is 'key' to the Villa game and if desperate we can bring him on.

We should have enough to put Villa to the sword without him though, not taking anything for granted obviously.

That being said I think Poch will go with his strongest side regardless.

Is that based on any ITK ?

Reason, is that Poch said on 25 September :

Nabil Bentaleb, Mousa Dembele, Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard remain sidelined for tomorrow's (Saturday, September 26, 12.45pm) huge game against Manchester City.

"All four are close, but all four are out," reported Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino after training on Friday.

Mousa has been out since picking up a foot injury against Everton on August 29, Nabil has missed our last four matches with an ankle problem, Ryan damaged his knee in scoring the winner at Sunderland on September 13 and Alex has an ankle problem

Any idea if Bentaleb will be back in the next week or two - or do you think it maybe longer ?

Don't know why njie gets in people's starting X1. He has done nothing so far to warrant a starting place. Looks very raw for me and certainly not a left sided player in poch team. Can see him as a replacement for Kane in Europe. Full strength team needed vs villa. Can be no taking lightly as every game tough and huge to get the 3 points before such a hard November

The bigger question is will bentaleb return to the team. We sure aren't missing him and he has to beat Ali Mason and now Dembele for a starting place. Good for the team but id rather know Son was fit

If Lamela's on 4 yellows(?) I'd be tempted to save him for Arsenal.

If true, I'm inclined to agree. While I think it's paramount we pick up three points against Villa, I think we can take advantage of their current state without Lamela and be more likely to be at better strength for Arse.

Yes.

Has been out over 2 months, and we don't want or need to rush him back. May get some time v Anderllecht but was told doubtful he would start.

This was from Monday evening.
