What's peoples thoughts on James Tavernier? 30 years of age but seem to been absolutely bossing it last few years for Rangers at rb and scoring for fun. At 30 he would probably fancy a chance to play in a top team in the prem.

Our biggest upgrades have to be wingbacks.

We need to get the best we can possible get in those positions

Will transform the team. I'm not really happy with any of them

Edit: preferably the profile should be more of a left/right winger than a lefr/right back
This is absolutely right. We should prioritize LWB and RWB before LCB, CM or FW positions. Order of priority has to be RWB, LWB, back-up to Kane, LCB, GK, CM

People keep saying this but we have two acceptable players for lwb who are both likely to improve further with time (just like dier and Doherty have this season)
We do need a better rotation option at rwb instead of Emerson- but if the new and improved Doherty (or just the wolves Doherty if you prefer) carries on we can still contend with him in the side.
But instead of Davies at LCB (another who up until conte arrived everyone wanted to bin off btw), we have nothing. No one. The cupboard is bare.

So whilst people have said we are screwed if X/Y/Z are injured, let’s be clear. We need a LCB and a CF as urgent priorities. If Kane or Davies get injured we have to change the whole system.

Jack Harrison would be an insane left wing back for us

Talk to me
Him or McNeil would both be quality I think. Carrasco is my number one choice though and we apparently tried for him in January, so there’s some smoke there at least

He's not very good IMO

Have had links to Ndicka and Kostic, both been superb against Barca. After watching the game Kostic would prob be my number 1 target at LWB

We have missed a set piece specialist for ages now. Would be a breath of fresh air.

On N'Dicka, always liked the player but questioned his decision making at times. Tonight summed him up to a tee. Brilliant performance, then gets 2 yellows and gives away a pen in last 5mins of stoppage time at 3-1 up.

I think this is the type of raw player Conte would salivate over elevating. Tidy up his decision making and composure and there's a real player there.

Absolutely mate. He is an animal in the air and good on the ball so plenty to work with.

Personally happy with Dier but if there is a chance of De Vrij or Bremer then....

Competition always good.
I agree. But I'd say Dier has pretty well cemented that spot as his own, I'd say he'd need to either drop off in form or someone be an absolute world beater for us to bench him. But that's just me

Not sure he is at the level, could see him at a mid-table side, maybe. Don’t think leaving Rangers would be a good move for him at this point in his career.

Ndicka surely makes the most sense, right? Gvardiol, Bastogni probably too expensive, Schlotterbeck looking elsewhere and Pau Torres (I think) will be a trainwreck in the PL.

Ndicka is young, could push Davies immediately which is what we want (not just another very raw youth prospect) and you got to think he’d love to come here.

Kostic and Ndicka would solve two needs for us immediately and presumably won’t break the bank.
