Just a small update but nothing major to report. A few of us said back in Jan that this summer was the target for the main overhaul of the squad and that's still very much the case. You can see that Paratici & Conte clearly know what attributes a player needs for the PL with the signings of Bentancur & Kulusevski. Main targets are LCB, RWB, CM & S. Then it will depend on who we can shift as to whether we will look at LWB & another attacking player. CL is obviously massive for us and everyone is aware of this. It would allow us to attract a different calibre of player although the names I've heard so far I believe the majority on here would be very happy with. I said it along time back, but again Kane is absolutely loving life under Conte and can finally see us moving forward again after stagnating the past few years.

So much disrespect. He is running for player of the season imo. Without him at the back we look all over the place. A leader as well!
Completely agree! Other players have shone more recently but if we look at the whole season, Dier currently gets my vote for POTY, I think he's been outstanding and he deserves a massive amount of credit.

Wonderful things to hear at the start of an extended weekend, cheers for the info.

I was massively critical of him last season- for good reason- but what a turnaround. He’s the player again that Mourinho wanted so desperately to sign when he was managing Utd. This is the value of a world class coach and it’s reasonable to assume that Conte’s presence at the club will, at the very least, get the right calibre player to the negotiating table

I see a lot of people saying to sign a LCB and sell Sanchez. I agree with this but one of Sanchez and Tanganaga is going to have to play RCB so if we sell Sanchez we would have to replace him as I feel we are already one CB short in the squad the LCB is vital as its a hole in the squad we don't have a back up for Davies. It's not a replacement for the current CBs in the squad.

Rodon can play anywhere across the back line.

so if we sell sanchez and Tanganga that still leaves us.

Romero/No one Dier/Rodon Davies/New LCB.

Two players for each position is vital if we want to be consistent especially if we have champs league as well.

Dier has to be included in this, he's been fantastic since Conte arrived and 100% deserves that CB spot next season with a new LCB alongside him.
We 100% deserve proper competition for places. Bremer is available for a reasonable fee so how could we just say no if we had a chance to sign him?

A reasonable fee can get very expensive if enough people want him. I expect Bremer to go for quite a hefty fee and a wage package to match. Bigger clubs than us will be all over him too imo.

He's barely played at all anywhere. I'd be very surprised if he isnt gone in the Summer. Conte obviously doesnt rate him. Not sure why tbh.
I don't think he feels he is good enough on The ball and that is reason why both him and Sanchez will be gone in the summer.

For Conte's pattern of plays to work the three defenders have to be able to play under pressure and neither of those two have it in their lockers.

Bremer supposedly has many suitors. 5 alone in the prem it is reported.

As for reasonable fee, Liverpool reported a few days back trying to get a jump with a £25 million enquiry.

Patrici offering £41.5 million

Of course, I'm more than aware that these articles are more than likely based on nothing more than fantasy.

But I do believe that there will be a host of clubs enquiring about him, and could well see him go for over the reasonable fee.

I like the player, just think we're more than likely down the pecking order for this one. But here's hoping.

Edit: @you posted my sentiments as I was typing. STOP !! :stop:

Not the way it works though. He'll decide where he wants to go and then that team will pay the fee. Bidding wars don't really happen

Didn’t Conte specifically praise him recently and explain the only reason he hadn’t been in contention was a rib injury?
I think he only leaves if he wants regular football and asks to go.
We have other priorities imo.

I’m starting to think this summer is another Alisson/VanDijk moment for Levy. If we spend really wisely on two big dominant players for LCB and RWB we could really ruffle feathers next season.

As of now I think getting a starting LWB signing would be a bigger improvement than getting a LCB to start ahead of Davies

I'm getting a little fed up with Reguilon and sess getting injured and not having the composure in the final 3rd

I'm hard on Harrison and Kostic. Think they are my top two targets for LWB.

both are needed, we can just count on Davies for 60+ matches as LCB
