Wanted to get this going because I presume the transfer section will be closed soon but also because it's interesting to discuss players and alternatives that can potentially improve our squad. If it's too soon then I understand if the mods will want to delete this but I wanted to get the discussion going.

Who do you think we should go for in the January transfer window?

Will be back in for Lloyd Kelly perhaps as a CB alternative? VdV and Romero have started very well but I believe we are all worried about what might happen if one or, god forbid, both of them get injured.

Richy did very well this weekend and I couldn't be happier for him. Hopefully, he continues to build on this performance. If he doesn't then Viktor Gyökeres, currently of Sporting and previously of Coventry, has caught my eye as a big guy with very good feet and instincts who works extremely hard. He's absolutely tore it up in Portugal since joining in the summer.

Lloyd Kelly and Nico Williams. Move on gil.
I'd be genuinely interested to see what Gil can do for this team. Think he has some potentially great attributes for an Ange side in contrast to Conte or Nuno's dread ball.

CB and that’s it for me on the incomings. I get people want another LW in but I think Solomon deserves a chance this season to see what he can do, and we also have Sonny still and Richy and Perisic.

Personally would like to see Gil go and Sessegnon and Dier.

Then in the summer I would offer Palace money + Spence for Eze.

Senior CB as a priority, probably Kelly who impressed me v Chelsea and he'll be another HG.

Other than that we really do not need much else, maybe cover for Udogie at LB unless we stick with Davies until the summer and see if Sessegnon recovers from his injury problems. LW maybe if Perisic goes to Hajduk as has been rumoured and Gil doesn't impress or is on the outgoing list.

Aside from a CB/Kelly I think anything else will depend on if others go.

Why move on Gil before we know how he fits and works in Ange's revolution? No point in spending money just for the sake of it.
Yeh honestly I really want to see him in this set-up before we give up on him.

Think lloyd kelly would be a smart move. He will be a good 3 year stop gap to the croation, Phillips and dorrington. Get him on a 4 year deal and sell him in 3 years

Maybe an opportunist lowball offer for Jadon sancho? Very risky but high upside

Our HG back up could be Sam Johnstone when he loses his place to henderson. I'm sure he would rather be back up here than there. But that deal can be done next summer

Eze and or Gibbs-White would also be smart

Think Jan should be focused on HG players

Johnstone
Kelly
Guehi
Tomori
Sancho
Eze
Olise
Gallagher
Gibbs-White

Give Palace 140m for Johnstone, Guehi, Eze, Olise. They can replace Lloris, Dier, Hojberg, Lo Celso

There are still several good HG options

Cb and striker, although it’s hard to know who will come of age and if some players will gain form, like Richy and Son. Not sure if it’s a couple of years early for Dorrington and Phillips.

We still have Davies and sess for left back, Sess really needs to impress.

Definitley a senior CB. Anything else only necessary if we get major injuries. Otherwise the squad looks fine for the season especially with not being in Europe. Maybe do some good groundwork for next summer period so we can get in preferred targets early like Maddison this year.

Yup. Lots of sensible names in there.

For non-HG, Neto looks great

I think we should have a look at Antonio Nusa. He's been brilliant for Brugge this season, and is still only 18, so we could give him the Sarr treatment and he would qualify as HG when the time comes.
