How the fuck do you look back and give that? If the original call was a penalty, then maybe I see it standing... but to let play go on and review it for 5 minutes and give a penalty... Jesus Christ.

The pen was a joke however I agree with the initial free kick it was obstruction. Some how I got the feeling this would happen the amount of chances we had and didn't score plus we are pretty crap at keeping clean sheets.

Not good enough I'm afraid

i said the exact same to my friends. We should have been clear by 3 at half time

We lack players with the ruthlesslness to go for the jugular and destroy teams when we are dominant.
The handball law is rubbish.
In that order.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce talking to Sky Sports: "I can understand why Spurs will go beserk and Roy Hodgson reacted like he did. It is a total nonsense, we should be jumping through hoops but I would be devastated if that was us. Maybe Roy is right, maybe we all need to get together. The decisions are ruining the spectacle. We have to get together as managers and say this must stop.

"If our goalkeeper didn't play as well first half they would have been out of sight. Second half we were better and posed a bit of a threat. Our goalkeeper has got us a point and a decision that went our way."

I can (just about) understand the rule more when the ball is at low level like blocking a cross and not making your body bigger but when you are jumping you need your arms out for balance and you can still get nudged which would put them in an “unnatural position”. Are players supposed to now jump with their arms at their sides? Let’s just send all players out in straight jackets.

I think that's the hardest I've seen Spurs fucked over. Lasagne gate, Mendes goal, the time a linesman disallowed a goal against us because the defender was playing the striker onside by such a margin the lino didn't even see him.

We get fucked over even when we don't play. See Chelsea's CL win dumping us out of top 4 after finishing 4th (only for the rule to be changed the season after)

It’s a FUCKING JOKE.

Spurs didn’t concede a goal. An arbitrary rule interfered with what any normal person would consider to be how football should be played.

And saying we should score more to prevent it from happening is beside the point. 1-0 is a perfectly respectable winning score, worth the same points as 2 or 3 nil...

You shouldn’t have to score more to allow for total FUCKING JOKES like that.

Remember the song "1-0 to the Arsenal" ? Usually in the 89th minute. They loved it and lived it

This shit didn't used to happen.

Yes, it did happen without VAR. I don't like VAR, but don't pretend like weird decisions didn't happen before VAR. In the end, we should have scored more goals. Too bad Son got injured. Playing with Bergwijn was like playing with 10 men.

I’m glad he’s acknowledged the injustice and fair play, but he could have actually done something about it and told them to throw the penalty. No doubt he would have seen all angles from the bench, like we did.

/wishful thinking. No one will put their money where their mouth is.

Yes it did. We have always had shit decisions against us. Ghost goals, red cards, pens given against from divers. Refs would buckle under pressure from other teams players, it's why things were changed. We just manage to be on the end of shit decisions no matter what.

Sky Sports news yellow bar saying Harry got the red card at the end? Misses Man U if that's true

It looked clear that the coach went over, pulled Kane away while shouting at the ref. Card wasn't pulled out until he started to walk away

Can we take a moment to remember the decision leading to the free kick. The Newcastle player JUMPS INTO HOJBJERG and is awarded the foul. It’s one of the worst decisions I can ever remember seeing, absolutely fucking criminal.

And on another day we would have been 4-0 up? We weren’t wasteful, we came up against a reserve goalkeeper (shock horror) who made 10 saves which is the most in a single game in three years which I think was also De Gea against us. We also hit the post twice.

Anyone blaming the team for not being out of sight is, to be totally honest, a moron.

Fine margins today as we lacked that killer instinct. Basically bent over to allow VAR to have its wicked way.
