That's a good point although your defensive line will almost inevitably fall back when the ball is in the air.

It does raise an interesting point though, will teams with target men start playing for free kicks around the edge of the area, if I was a manager I'd be all over that.

Newcastle literally did it yesterday, dived for a free kick in a dangerous position, then hit it to a player who shouted handball for every challenge against him in the air mate. Think you’ve called the game plan correctly.

I only watched the second half and for the first time I didn’t have the false crowd noise just the players. As soon as Carroll came on all you heard was every time the ball hit one of our players was HANDBALL...

Did Kane not try to win a cynical pen earlier in the game when he clearly blasted the ball straight into the oncoming defender, winding him badly in the process? At the time I thought it was a strange moment, that maybe he was trying to win a corner but in the light of the new handball rule I realise maybe he was trying to be a bit clever about it.
