Maybe I can't answer that. Greaves was the best goalscorer ever in England

As i said i don't know, wasn't born. Earliest memory of a big signing was lineker. Klinnsman was great too.

Ndombele might be our greatest player ever but the hype isn't as much.

I'm hoping.
Dave Mackay was my favourite all time player. It wasn't just his power. He was very confident and had charisma and when Dave was playing all the other players played like giants too. He was inspirational not on what he said but how he played.
NDombele is confident. He has a perfect mix of strength and ball talent and desire. I'm hoping he will ignite this team. We are stronger than we have been for many many decades, if we can go up a level where we are confident enough to feel we can win any game we play, where our fans believe we can win any game its a brilliant feeling. NDombele will bring us closer I think.
If he is really good he will inspire the others to believe. Thats an exciting thought

My dad loved mackay.

Friend (arsenal fan) was in a school in islington and his pe teacher was an ex spurs player (not jones). Anyway he got the spurs team to visit the school and they had a game of football. My mate was his teams captain so had first pick. Took greaves. Greaves came over and said you shouldn't have done that. - why? Your the best player in the country. - daves going to be upset, he said. My mate was 14 at the time, he said mackay kicked him in the air every chance he got.

Dave was a competitor but not sure I believe that not because your friend is lying more to do with perception.
I never saw Mackay as a dirty player just really tough

My dad always said mckay hated the picture with bremner because he felt he was more skillful than a hardman.

As for my mates story, thats what it is. A nice story to tell in the pub.

But it was said that Dave had a miniaturised picture of him grabbing Bremner's shirt and threatening to pinch him worn around his neck.

I never liked that picture later, it was fun at the time though because Leeds started coming on those years but Bremner always looked up to Mackay I believe. But it was because Dave was hard. A tough tackler, a great slide tackler and I never saw him as dirty. That picture was, 10% of what Mackay was but people see it as 90%

So we think he's going to be good?

Who does he partner with if everyone fit? Sissoko, winks, dier or wanyama if he can get back.

He'd also just come back from a broken leg.

I just hope NDombele can have the influence with the players that Dave had. They looked at him with awe. I hope NDombele earns that

I think it should be a rotation.

With Sissoko one up and one down
with Winks more or less the same
Sissoko and Winks together to give NDombele a rest
Like to give Skipp a game too

Dier and Wanyama not sure what happens
