We need something else though. No point getting ndombele and losing eriksen. We need to improve.
We do and Eriksen is good but he isn't my favourite. I prefer a more open game. Eriksen too many short passes back and forth. We need quicker passing and more dynamic moving up the field. Liverpool has the right idea. Ticky Tack footie is out.
We need to move quicker before defences set

So we think he's going to be good?

Who does he partner with if everyone fit? Sissoko, winks, dier or wanyama if he can get back.
Think the key is having actual tactical flexibility instead of just a first and second xi.

Winks and ndombele for passing range against bus parkers, Sissoko and Ndombele for dribbling through pressure, Sissoko and Dier for physical presence, Ndombele and Dier for diamond.

It also really depends on how much we plan to change systems/tactics this year. Poch has complained before about having to fit his tactics to what he has available, rather than playing the way he would prefer. The way this window is unfolding it looks like he will finally have (for the most part) the players he wants and has identified - what does that mean in terms of our preferred formation, and how often we will change up our formation?

I agree. But finding a player that can dictate the tempo of the game is rare. Eriksen/modric/carrick. Sometimes we don't appreciate or over rely.

Can't have all these midfielders
Get a good price for Dier he is gone
Wanyama for sure gone

If Eriksen opened up his game I would be happy. I don't see him as a leader. I see him technical and good but not a proactive leader

Modric is especially at RM where he took on a huge role

Carrick I never understood but he was a backbone of that Man U team

All 3 did the little things. They don't have to be leaders. They are the "you'll miss them when they're gone" type players.

Losing carrick killed us for 6 months. Modric we slightly got away with cause bale scored wonder goals. Eriksen, we'll have to adjust and get someone in.

I think fluidity is where we have to go to not possession as the main focus

The most fluid i saw us play was under redknapp. Up untill the February (before he got sacked in the summer) we were amazing. But modric helped. Bale and lennon and vdv switching was beautiful.

I think there is a happy medium between a Poch disciplined team and a Redknapp creative one.
Controlled by Poch but with the middle a little more dynamic.
Our discipline earns possession from pressing, and discipline with passing but we need to open up more to get the ball down quicker and more fluid.

I'm hoping NDombele will take the responsibility of running the team and any player that replaces, Eriksen will play that more fluid game with quicker passing its possible Eriksen could have done it but seems too late now
