Agreed on the crowd. I get the frustration, this team has not been putting in the effort, and no shots on target for 6 halves of football etc. But people have to realise that it is counterproductive getting on the backs of players like Tanganga during a game.

Yup, and this wasn’t some light grumbling, this was as loud as at the end of the Man United match. Disgraceful.
I was there myself and, in the main, I don’t approve and have never booed any player or the team collectively. However, and this might be nonsense, I wonder whether this resonated with Conte hence the much improved second-half performance and a more animated Antonio? What I do know was the high level of frustration and annoyance at the rank performance in the first half which was simply a continuation of the dreadful rubbish served up during Nuno’s reign and much of Jose’s tenure, and let’s be frank, the last part of Poch’s time. That’s a fairly long sequence of having to watch turgid crap from the same set of players and I do get why some felt the need to audibly demonstrate their feelings at half-time. People are spending lots of money to watch this
and are emotionally invested for better or for worse.

Over 4 hours without a shot on target will do that to a fanbase. If you were happy with the first half performance then fine. I didn't boo, but was ok with people doing so in this instance. Conte even said he agreed with the booing and I suspect he used it as motivation at half time.

There is bitching and moaning in every player, manager and match thread that the players are coasting, not giving 100% and not playing for the shirt on here and has been for 2 years. It's no surprise in real life it is the same.

Did I hear the Pochettino magic chant a few times? Thought that was somewhat counterproductive when our new manager is playing his first premier league home game.

Our crowd were total shit yesterday. When they broke out into ‘Oh when the Spurs’ all I could think was ‘get fucked, you mugs were booing the team off at halftimes’. Really horrible people our fans these days, worst in the country.
If you paid £60+ to watch live yesterday, you had every right to boo that first half performance. It was simply not good enough. I know the players don't set the ticket prices, but they are the ones who can dictate what is being dished up and if its shite, the fans will quickly tell you its shite.

I did pay to be there live. I also drove from arse end of nowhere for the pleasure, not getting home till very late, as I do for every home match.

Somehow I managed to show self restraint at 1-0 down in our new managers first home league match. Maybe I’m superman.

Yes it was over 4 hours without a shot on target.

As you yourself have displayed, one can be unhappy and still not knowingly engage in something more likely to be a detriment to the team for the remainder of the match.

Most of our fans were priveldeged to enjoy 3-4 seasons under Pochettino, where he massively raised expectations. The clubs inability to maintain these levels under Pochettino have been the catalyst behind the fans dissent, as this has been festering for 2-3 years. We are to some degree victims of our past success.

I felt that during the Leeds game, JT never passed well to Royal. There were a few times he could have played him in to attack or given him a friendlier pass and it didn't go well. Also he seemed intent on going forward which probably didn't make life easy for ER

I thought yesterday he was poor technically.

There were a few times when he played a pass to Royal and it was behind him rather than in front. I hate when players do that, bugs me no end.

Decent game from him today. Conte must already appreciate his versatility and I can Japhet being the preferred RCB next to Dier and Davies until Romero is fit.

I don't think he's good enough. Decent 1v1 defender but he's woeful technically and to play for a top team nowadays you need to be technically competent wherever you play.

He had a bad game today. Jose said he's at his best at full back, and I tend to agree with that. He's not a winger, and he's alright at CB. But to be honest we were poor covering that flank overall today.

He’s not been great lately but he’s got a decent path ahead of him at RCB or at old school defensive RB. Might only end up a squad player with us.

He’s definitely not a RWB so I’m not going to judge him too hard for today.

Can't believe some are criticising him. Stuck out at wingback. What CBs would play well out there?

Please remember this is a player who has only played CB throughout his youth career.
