He can’t have been that highly thought of because his contract was almost up when he went on the pre season tour a few years ago and played so well they thought they should sign him up again.As @dontcallme says above, he's only played 27 senior games of football due to injuries but he was highly thought of as a youngster.
I don't really think that anyone has seen enough of him to say that "Millwall is his level" with such conviction.
It's as bad as someone who said "Skipp is Sunday league level at best" not that long ago.
It's just nonsense.
If he had played badly he would have been released.
