Winks needs to play at a side that plays progressive possession based attacking football .
Not the defensive dire stuff we play if he is pushed out by the naysayers I am convinced he will go on to show that he is a player in a team that plays football in the right way .
We have a team that has been called crap by some but for me play the right way and these players will thrive .
I look at Brighton and Fulham and every time I watch them they are in the game with a chance of winning whilst playing possession based attacking football it comes down to the philosophy of play that the manager instills in his players albeit with second tier players .
All I see is " first do not lose " and the team is against all good teams on the back foot and it is dire to watch .
It will be interesting to see what Potter and Parker could do with a better squad .

Liverpool historically have had a Hatchett man that his prime job is or was take out the main threat by whatever means needed.
You can go back to the days of Tommy Smith who kicked anything that moved . The most famous case is our league cup final against Liverpool when Hoddle was injured almost from the kick off and he was unable to function properly .
Dirty gits and always will be . It would be interesting to know how many fouls Thiago committed as he seems to be a player that somehow plays on the edge but does not get red cards . The rule of consistent fouling leading to a yellow card seems to no longer exist at least where some clubs players are concerned .

Or, alternatively, I support the team and try and look for positives instead of turning this place into a cesspool of when we don't play like peak Barca.
The team has been cack for a few years now. I wonder how many on here lived through the 90s.

Ive supported the club since 81 and am a STH (when we eventually get back). Fans are well within their rights to voice their opinion as they see fit. You're not the arbiter of what makes a fan, so please stop with the pious sanctimony please.

Remind me who tried to invalidate whose opinion first?

Yesterday's loss was so dispiriting because we deserved to lose.

*Multiple* ridiculous errors at the back and a complete lack of direction/ambition in the 2nd half just made us look weak. Very depressing.

Hard to pinpoint the main culprit - Winks? Doherty? Rodon? Dier? Mourinho? - but it was NOT Hojbjerg.

Saw this at the time during the game and thought it looked handball and thought it was reviewed. Quite clearly not, or if it was decided against doing anything about

Both matches this season against Liverpool tallied up.

Liverpool Shots 25
Tottenham shots 5

Not really fair to lump them together. We were in control for the first game and they were popping off shots because they couldn't get near our goal.
