VINICIUS END OF SPURS BUSINESS

Sky Sports News’ Paul Gilmour on The Transfer Show...

“Spurs are not expected to make further signings in this window after Carlos Vinicius. Talks over Milan Skriniar have not developed into a formal bid, with the clubs remaining apart of their valuation.”

How long before they say "it's back on!"? Maybe I'm being optimistic but it feels like they are trying to create some drama ahead of deadline day.

I am not optimistic. Its possible, we will go back again in Jan for CB - its possible there will be other target available, especially given Covid is going to hit clubs financially much more.

Is this Sky that has got it's reports so wrong in the past..I wouldn't believe what they say over all the ITK information we have had.
If it was coming from other sources then possibly, I'll prefer to wait and see what happens.
We are supposed to put in a bid over the weekend, so Paul Gilmour is being a bit presumptuous and jumping the gun, saying this is the end of our business.
If not Skriniar, then maybe an alternative player could join.

However it plays out, it’s going to be a roller coaster between now and deadline. Next to no chance it just dies or gets done smoothly.

I do think if this doesn't go through then we'll have a bit of a moan about it. There's no transfer deadline day without a meltdown afterall. What a great window though , Skriniar would really make it a perfect one. I think come next summer if this isn't done then a top quality centre back will be priority, maybe another creative midfielder and not much else.

If you put the thread starter on ignore then it goes away so you may need to investigate your ignore settings :pompous:

Whilst I'm incredibly pleased with the work done to this squad this summer, I won't be able to hide my disappointment if we weren't able to get Skriniar.

Because we were evidently close and that makes it gutting.

Wouldn’t worry, sky have had their worst TW for a long long time.

The meltdown will come when the Skriniar deal is downgraded to the Rudiger deal.

Various online press reports have suggested that agreed contact will be made over the weekend to try and sort this out. Hopefully in our favour. It wouldn’t surprise me for Spurs to play hardball here.

On deadline day itself, our weekend offer could well be reduced by £5m ?

Seems odd if we can't work something out with Inter. He's not in their plans so his value is only going one way (spoiler: DOWN).

I don’t think this was anything new that he didn’t mention this morning. Was just teasing an “update” to plug his daily newsletter ffs
