Sorry, but I genuinely have no idea what any of this means or how it's relevant to anything in this thread.Whilst players and fans can trade off one another for energy and atmosphere I think it's bollocks to suggest it's fan's that are at fault.
I believed we would beat Liverpool in the 81 league cup final but we folded in extra time.
I believed we would win all the fa cup semi finals since and yet we have managed to lose everyone since 91.
I believed we would win the CL final when I sat in the stadium that night only for us to choke again.
The club has a history of falling short when it matters, and yet we have certain posters who won't allow criticism no matter how bad we perform.
We could lose 6-0 to Stoke in the next round of the league cup but certain fan's will blame it on the North West winds that we are not used to.
We know who these posters are, they are those in their early thirties, with dopey beards, corduroy trousers and heavy brogue shoes who drink cask ale and listen to the dusty peddlers.
Their opinion we have no interest in not now not ever.
Er ok mateSorry, but I genuinely have no idea what any of this means or how it's relevant to anything in this thread.
I know its partly down to the players we now have and I loved the peak high energy relentless pressing and inscision football under Poch but once it went off the boil I was dieing for us to play with some wingers and pace which we never did and now we have that in abundance I have to say this at times as exciting and good football as i've ever seen us play to be honest.Tottenham Hotspur Have Now Scored 31 Goals In Their Last 10 Games In All Competitions.
Yeah boring Jose football
I think we have to win to stay in touch with the pack, our home form has been so cack that it puts a bit of pressure on winning away. What this season so far has shown is that Jose is world class in his approach in terms of building a squad, tactics, motivation etc etc but it also shows that he is also human like other managers and so compare his mood in press conferences and interviews this season to last, this season after newcastle when we were robbed he kept fairly calm and decided to not comment, against west ham he complimented them for their efforts instead of having a go at the team, all the negativity is gone.
Notice I said negativitiy, criticisim is still there because he demands the highest standards and he uses criticisim very well but compare his mood now to mid of last season when we had no son kane sissoko bergwijn and we were losing games, tons of injuries and the squad was no where near the depth it needed to be he knew as he said at the time he had a gun with no bullets, now he has 2 huge army tanks with mounted machine guns and he's loving life.
Win at Burnley and we are well on track in terms of momentum.

IMO we (still) need CM/DM upgrades, rather than back-ups, ie. upgrading one of Winks, Højbjerg or Sissoko.we only probably need a world class CB and back-up to PEH to have everything he needs.
Yea if we are being picky I probably agree although I don't think PEH is far off the quality we need.IMO we (still) need CM/DM upgrades, rather than back-ups, ie. upgrading one of Winks, Højbjerg or Sissoko.
For me, the week where we had 4 games where Jose navigated us through them all with no back-up striker yet and no Bale fit that was the week that could've turned our season. If we'd lost to Chelsea in the League Cup and in the EL qualifiers the whole narrative this season would be completely different, as it is we have an excellent platform now and the momentum will only keep building. Those EL qualifiers were a pain in the ass but they gave our squad more minutes, gametime and fitness and ultimately will have been a good experience, the squad is in such good shape now that even a big injury crisis like last season shouldn't really de-rail us too much so a lot less pressure on the players because of the great depth in the squad.
Big momentum building now, buzzing.

Jose keeps refering to Klopp's Liverpool in press conferences and how it took him many transfer windows and a number of seasons to transform the team. I love this because usually Jose is very good at 'predicting the future', he's a pragmatist and he can read the strengths of his team and potential compared to others, how much time it needs and what ingredients are needed to win.
He said next summer we will 'tweak' the squad but that is normal for a big club but it sounds like he's very happy with the strength of the squad and knows really that we only probably need a world class CB and back-up to PEH to have everything he needs. He also said he needs time and not just quality of players. We are seeing the fruits of our labour now and how much better we look this season compared to last is night and day, sure we can improve especially defensively but the building blocks are there, he also said we need to improve mentally which can take time.
We might not win the league and CL like Klopp has done but I think given time if things continue on the trajectory they're on given that Klopp's Liverpool will start to burnout soon enough if not this season then next and same for Pep's Man.City then we have as good a chance as anyone to really try and compete for the biggest prizes. A League cup would do, an FA cup or EL would be amazing but ultimately if we can get one of those this season I think Jose will know that will be the building block and stepping stone to then really going for a PL or CL with this squad.
All very exciting. Lets keep enjoying the ride.
Burnley will be a tough match and we might even lose but everything is going in the right direction, there will still be bumps in the road but ride it out lads this rollercoaster will be fun with Jose.
U think Hojbjerg needs upgrading?IMO we (still) need CM/DM upgrades, rather than back-ups, ie. upgrading one of Winks, Højbjerg or Sissoko.
