but but but Daniel told us that the stadium build wouldn’t effect our transfer policy....
Since we've moved in we've signed a £30m Sessegnon, a £42m Lo Celso, a £52m, rising to £62m Ndombele, Bergwijn for £27m and have a £40m option in place for Gedson, not to mention the £10m spent on Clarke. Can anyone remember a 6-7 month spell where we actually committed to that much spending?
Before you mock the club you support please come with more than just a few cheap words that are completely untrue. Besides, any moron with half a brain will know that a £1.2bn stadium project isn't going to pay for itself so where exactly do you think that money will be coming from? A 25-30 year payback option of an outstanding £700m or so debt and how that is going to need paying off doesn't really need explaining does it? We will end up making more than we did at the old ground, even once we pay off the money needed per season to keep the banks happy so yes it won't be as damaging to us. Say we made £50m from the old WHL in matchday revenue and the new place makes £100m. Take the £25m off of that figure and surprise surprise we are still making £75m, a cool £25m more than we were 2-3 years ago, it ain't hard if you give it the time and attention of a lunch break to look into it.
The club have done more than any of us could have envisaged when it comes to spending over the last two windows. Give them a break and start to actually support the club instead of taking pathetic cheap shots at them
