Is Vorm the answer for long term?

Bergovic is another one who looks very reliable. I have not watch Krol closely enough.

It's certainly something we need to be looking at as our long term prospects in the keeper department aren't good.

Much too early to tell on Vorm, and Al Habsi (who someone else mentioned) is as prone to a clanger as Gomes at times.

Begovic is, in my opinion, a very good goalkeeper but even he has made a couple of errors this season (just from watching MOTD). As they haven't resulted in goals he's not hounded for it but he's certainly far from perfect.

What we should be aspiring to is the form of Gomes in the year we came 4th. If we can get a keeper who is that good consistently then we'll be flying. Just not sure who that is.

For a longer term prospect I think Hennessey at Wolves is a decent keeper. Also did anyone see Fielding's red card for Derby against Forest at the weekend? We should sign him just for comedy value.

Fielding looks very good for England U21.

KROL (newcastle)....looks like a really good keeper, hollands no.2 i'm sure that Cashley couldn't resist a decent offer.

Not that impressed by Vorm. Yes he looks a very good shot-stopper, but, aside from his massive error at Arsenal, I've yet to see much of the rest of his game (i.e commanding his area, organising the defence, decision making re: crosses) and thats what separates great goalkeepers from good ones.

On a side note, how the heck has Alnwick remained at Spurs for as long as he has? He's played 33 first team games for us in what seems like years since he arrived in a p/x deal that saw Fulop go to Sunderland. The Black Cats have not stopped laughing since.

Aye I've been impressed with Tim Krul this season and looks like he has a big future ahead of him and speaking of Dutch 'keepers, does anyone know how Stekelenberg has done at Roma because the amount he went for i'm extremely surprised we didn't even look in that direction.

I'd like Begovic.

Stoke are in quite a strong position at the mo though so would be tricky prizing him away.

Adler would be nice otherwise. :)

Hennessey has been so shit for wales its crazy, coming when he shouldn't, making more fumbles than gomes does

Not a fan of krul, I would like us to go for a tall keeper i.e. 6'4" or more

I think viviano can fill buffoon's boots, sign him now before its impossible

I think Alnwick was registered so that we can release him in november and register beckham, if we didn't register him we would have to register Dawkins who Ferdinand has been watching alot

If you have 25 players who are eligible they have to be registered and then there is another rule saying just because a player is on loan doesn't mean he cant be registered as the player can come back(I guess this void if he is registered by another PL club
