I don't blame Berbatov, usually I'd be so fucked off, but we were shit, Bent was shit, he's been shit all season, Berbatov hasn't been himself, but he's still been average at least, if not good.

Last night was not the time to bring Bent into the team, especially after Berbatov had scored in midweek, Bent's struggling, he needs to be brought into games we're winning, or stand up and be counted.

Berbatov must have been so pissed off, our best player by a mile, shortlisted for the Ballon D'or, and dropped for someone who can't finish his fucking breakfast.

This is the first time I've said it but Jol really has to go now, Berbatov's to good of a player to let go over a managerial dispute with a manager who isn't getting results. It's not only him, but alot of the players seemed not to want to play for Jol last night, even Tainio didn't look up for it, and that's saying something.

To an extent, I do agree with you. I've defended Jol to the hilt, but it seems that things are just going to get worse until he's replaced. His post match interview was embarressing to be honest, he didn't answer the questions asked, and looked like a man who knows his termination letter was being typed as he was speaking.

Unfortunately, the guy has to go, much as it pains me to say it. If he's losing the dressing room, which it certainly looks like, then it's gone beyond the point of no return.

Berbs however, was a disgrace last night. Yes he's a great player, yes he probably carried us for a while last season, but YES he should act like a f***ing professional.

Like I said before, if it was Ghaly, or Jenas, or one of the other favourites for criticsm, we'd all be saying how they are not fit to wear the shirt. But as it's Berbs, it doesn't fit into the agenda.

Also how is it that Jol's achievements last season and the season before don't count anymore, yet Berbs contribution last season does? Can't have it both ways. (I'm not saying you in particular said this about Jol but it has been said).

I'm really disappointed as I hoped and thought Berbs was better than that.

Players knowing that Jol is living on borrowed time means they can be 'petulant' for want of a better word, and essentially, get away with it.

As for Bent, he's playing shit because we don't adjust our game to play to his strengths. We expect him to play like Berbs. How many balls in behind did we play? I counted 1, though I may have missed a few as my head was in my hands most of the evening.

Berbatov on the bench of Spurs sounds to me like a short anectode. And there are morons who wonder why he doesn't give a shit.

Surely, it's not his dream to sit on the bench of a bottom three team.

Whatever happened to play the ball, not the man?

So replying in kind, there are also morons who believe Berbs is a deity and therefore shall not be criticised in any way shape or form. He has obviously been playing so blindingly brilliant this season that he is not allowed to be dropped, or rested considering our busy next 12 days.

And morons wonder why we are in the position we are in when we have players that are so obviously too good to pull their socks up when the going gets tough.....

Exactly! Wimbledon long ball tactics last night it was a joke, i thought he did ok when he came on i might be being byest but as others as said a player quoted at £30-40million as everyone on this board said at the end of last season should not be benched!
I have stood by jol all this time but i think he has lost the dressing room thats why we are in this mess.

its actually chocolate not shit. don't tell anyone and i'll see you there!

If it was chocolate and not shit, then the original quote would have read, 'up chocolate creek without a paddle', which sounds really yummy, bud doesn't quite have the same impact.

Was Bent truely terrible last night or was the service to him terrible and he worked with what he was given? From what I recall, he had a couple of runs which got us deep into Newcastle territory, runs in which we were previously under pressure, in which he had two Newcastle defenders on him and no support. Did Keano get any good service either?

And if I recall, it was Bent's header that came off the post back to Keano for the goal.

In one thread you've got people slagging Jenas and Zokora; Bale went off injured; Malbranque worked hard but was pretty anonymous. Now, what are we expecting? Bent to defend, work to get the ball, play a defence splitting pass to himself, run onto his own pass and slip it past the keeper? We knew what we were getting with Bent, he is a goal scorer, he won't drop deep, but there is a good chance he'll put chances away when he gets them.

Berbs would have done no better if he had started, Bent worked with what he was given and did ok. When Berbs actually came on he did one thing which was to slip the ball through for Bent, who's landing foot came down on the side of the defenders boot and consequently slipped. After that Berbi didn't really seem to give a toss. I couldn't careless if he is our best player, at this moment in time, I'd rather a team full of Bolton type players with limited talent but are organised and battle to the end, rather than a bunch of players who have talent and are massively under performing.

This is what i thought, i honestly couldnt see Berb being any more effective than Bent. The midfield was playing so deep the forwards were completely cut off from the rest of the team. Keane got very little service also. Dawson hit long balls up field all game and they gradually got less and less accurate.

So, are you clapping that, as Bent played shite due to lack of service etc, Berbs would have played the same, or are you clapping because they are all playing shite and we want some effort.

One of the commentators said it.

This was the same commentator who got all hot and bothered that Berbatov then went and sat back down, apparently hoping he wasn't going to bother coming on, but didn't seem to notice he was taking his training top off like practically every other player goes to sit back down to take their training kit off...

This was the same Jon Champion who last season was heaping praise on us because he was contractually obliged to big up the English teams in the UEFA Cup on ITV4, now he's jumping on the Spurs Crisis Bandwagon like the rest of them/us...

Excuse me while I struggle up this molehill...

I was watching carefully the last few games and I feel that there is something between Berbatov and other players and the game yesterday confirmed this feeling. Just look at the match again and you will see that there were at least 3 or 4 situations where Berbatov was on a good striking position (so called 100% situations), asking for a ball and never gets it. The midfielders just don't pass the ball to him ...

I really dont think that there is a conspiracy against Berbatov.

Thats down to the midfield having no vision not a personality clash.

I hope that there is no conspiracy or personality clash, otherwise it will be a serious problem ...
