I was fuming at the time, if he honestly refused to warm up we've got some serious problems.

You could hear the fans singing for him, i wonder if they still would have been if they'd knwon about the primadona attitude he was giving out on the bench.

What a shame, such a nice fellow last season. Chose us over Manure, showed real class and passion. Something has happened that we wont know about until he writes his autobiography. He's off.

Bad egg.

This season is all but over for us (unless we win a cup!!). He's off in the summer anyway, so let him be a sub and lets start givinbg Bent a run of games.

Berbatovs attitude stinks - disgrace.

I want to see his point.

maybe he didn't have an injury?

maybe he was not pleased about being benched in favour of that 16 million waste of space.

Didn’t see the game last night as I was playing footy myself. What actually happened then…??

I did read over someone’s shoulder that Jol was practically begging Berba to come off the bench…

What the feck is going on…??

If this is the attitude he is going to take then he doesnt play again as far as im concerned. Best player or not we need people who want to play for this team right now, players who want to get us out of this situation.

Supposedly Jol wanted to bring him on in the second half and he had to be asked 3 times to even warm up because he was sulking for one reason or another.

What evidence is this based on? I've read 4 reports and Jol's said "it's bollocks" in all 4 of them.

Are the media bored again? If this game wasn't isolated on it's own, and was on a Saturday, no-one would give 2 shits. It would've been the last game on MOTD and everyone would have been asleep. :-( Lousy Setantatatatatanta.

He's not any other player though. He's our best player. And we dropped him. For Bent. Who was appalling. We don't have any option at the moment but to try to keep Berbs happy by playing him...

This is another indication that Jol has lost at the very least a group of the players.

I don't care what anybody says Berbatov's body language has been bad all season, I'm not convinced what was said on Setanta last night was true and Jol denied it immediately. However Berbs looks like he would prefer to be anywhere in the world rather than at Spurs right now.

Unfortunately we are taking quality players backwards. Berbs, Lennon, Defoe, Chimbonda, Robbo, JJ etc, they are all quality players but their individual games are not what they were or where they shold be. Even Bent he already looks like a player who has had his confidence shot to pieces.

Can you blame him? Really?

He missed one (albeit a very good) chance against Arsenal and already there were people standing next to me murmurring "16 million ... rubbish ... waste"

What the fuck sort of chance is that? There's been so much pressure been heaped on the lad that he's just collapsed. It makes sense to keep the transfer fees private, don't you think? I understand why they keep a lot undisclosed - it's to stop fuelling a fickle crowd with another round of ammunition

I have to admit Jol seems to have lost some of the players - Defoe, Burbs to name 2. Yes he still has his right hand man in Keane and his England number 1 in Robbo..... but he has def lost some of the team.

Anyone who saw Berbs 'performance' when he came on, would be worried. However, it wasn't any different to how he's been all season.
I just thought the way he was sulking on his own way before the game started, then when asked to warm up, he took so long to get up out of his seat and practically walked up and down the touchline, as if to say, 'not interested'.

You can't blame him for it though. He's sitting on the bench while Bent is playing like a twat and he still didn't come on at half time when he should've. I'd have a strop on aswel. Especially being that we were losing and he can't do anything about it. Jol decided to bring him on at 2-0 down, although he came on at 2-1, and i can see his point why he was pissed off. So what if he had a sulk, he knows hes better than the rest of the team and proved it when he came on. A nice touch and pass in to the path of Bent who should've at least hit the target.
