that wasnt what i was asking though

We shouldn't sell him because he was a Gooner trainee, but we should sell him as he would have a relatively good market value in the current climate and he will not be making the 1st 16/22 on match days when we have a fully fit squad + additions after this summer.

That i can just about agree on, Selling a player for there passed history of which club they have played for is just narrow minded, if they would come to a club and make a diffrence and put in 100%, then it shouldnt matter one bit

I do think we should keep him for one more season, or maybe loan him out to a lower EPL club for a season to see what he can do, but i really cant see him being in or around the team if we are to be challaging for top 4 spots

That is of course the other alternative, but I think that he would be found out thus my idea is the more profitable one!

i would rather queresma, so if we're planning on spending anything over £10mill for Bentley, we should go for the Q man instead.

That's a great shout. He's shit hot! got it all!

The Q man is the worst kept secret in professional football. Seriously, everyone wants him, he is pure class. Hence he will not come to Spurs.

Bentley would be my perfect summer signing too. A step up on Jenas in centre mid and a step up on either wings as well. Ramos likes to change our formation a couple of times during the game so we need more versatile players. Zokoras willingness to play centre mid, centre back and full back has made him a very important player for us.

Whether Bentley is a realistic target I'm not so sure, he's ambitious and clearly wants to play regularly so maybe he'd hesitate at joining one of the top four if they came in for him.

lennon has talent-he can take players on and he has good pace-but theres a reason why he isnt in the england squad-he has no end product..
lennon isnt a patch on bentley..

Two different types of players, but you are correct, Bentley is better at the moment and is a better right mid.

Some are going over board about Bentley. Yes he has a sweet right foot, but he doesn't posses the directness of Aaron Lennon. Anyway like i;ve said before we have a player in our squad who I believe has a sweet left foot = G Bale.

bentley doesnt just have a sweet right foot-he has a good left foot too(as shown on saturday), he can take free kicks, corners, and can play anywhere in midfield or upfront, he also score goals and has a number of assists..
lennon has good pace-but he just doesnt have the football brain david bentley has...

Which is strange seeing as Bentley is roughly as intelligent as Swampy.

But yeah Bentley makes up for his lack of pace (compared to Lennon...he's not actually slow) with his quality of crossing and general all round play. He's a bit like Beckham (not of that standard but you know what I mean) in that he doesn't actually need to go past people to set up a chance.

This is no disrespect to Blackburn but he's too good to be there for much longer. He's good enough to play European football and it doesn't surprise me that he's generating alot of interest.

I find it hilarious people talk up Bentley so much after 1 really good season and in the same breath they have a massive pop at Downing, when the latter probably does more and has more pace and they're similar players.

very funny indeed
