Apparently Trossard has a 1 year option, hence Brighton could demand so much. It was essentially 18 months left.
Ah ok, didnt realise that.

Still, Trossard had clearly become a problem and wanted out, yet still cost a bit.

Cant see Raya kicking up a fuss

Makes sense.
Teams told they can get him for next to nothing and then the contract could be extended pushing his price up.

I just can't see us getting a keeper in this window.

If we can't we would be better to play Forster for a few games and just give Lloris time to get his head straight.

Raya makes sense to me. We can be pretty sure Kane will want to go (again) and I think we have to cash in while there's still some value. We won't replace him with anyone HG so we have to create a non HG space. We haven't had any takers for permanent deals for GLC, Ndombele, Rodon etc. either and the market is a bit dead. We might possibly sell Sanchez or Dier I guess but it's a bit of a long shot. Raya would create that non HG space for us and not at a massive cost so that's my reasoning behind it.

Definitely see him going back to France, personally.
I guess if he does have kids they are young, presumably at the French school so Brentford could still perhaps work. But Frank ain’t daft. Hugo doesn’t command his box and doesn’t stand up properly facing close range shots.

Anyway, in the first five mins yesterday I saw Raya shit himself on his right side then hook a clearance on his left. Is this unusual?

Raya is my no1 target and it's not even close.

Agree. I watched him closely yesterday and he is just so calm and commanding when coming for the ball. A good shot stopper too and good with the ball at his feet. He has to be the guy.

Please. If we sign Oblak I’m done with Spurs.
haha don't be so dramatic :D

The number off people who say "If we do this or that i'm done with Spurs" and then it happens and it turns out they were full of shit is massive

You could tuck the number of people who meant it into the cheesepouch right on the end of my hampton.

But who knows. You might actually mean it. I'm tempted to want us to sign Oblak, just to find out

He’s rejected another contract proposal, his current deal ends in 2024 and the most likely scenario is that he leaves this summer. United, ourselves and Chelsea interested.
