Another fine performance from the blackburn fella today and another disapointing game from our boy lennon against pompey.

I feel that with blackburn looking unlikley for europe and bentley hussling for a new contract, now is the time to get him before someone else does?. Would they swap?. If we offered lennon and 5 mil i think they would seriously consider.

My perfect summer signing.

I highly doubt it...

Why not?
They might not have a choice. He might well want to move and refuse to sign a contract. He has already come out saying he wants to play european footy. If none of the big boys fancied him i reckon we'd be in with a chance. Offering lennon in p/ex would maybe suit all parties. lennon from the north and bentley a london lad etc. Also a england right winger for another.

In my opinion, this has every chance.

according to alan hansen, berba and bentley should be on the shopping list of the top 4 this summer.

Bentley is a good player and Lennon is out of form. Swapping Lennon + £5million for Bentley is ridiculous.

I'm with Yid-ol. I'd rather Bentley than Lennon if given the choice. Still, right now I've not got the choice, and I'm hardly complaining that we've got 'Azza'

seeing as he seems to hate his former club, i think we shld get bentley, and unleash his pace and crossing ability, as well as fine footwork and technique when hitting a ball.

i would welcome Bentley!

Becasue its like asking Man Utd to swap Lennon for Ronaldo.

Or us to swap Berba for Kenny Miller!

I dont see why everyone is complaining about Lennon. Sure he's had a few bad games of late, but the lad is 20 years old for fuck sake. Too soon to be kicking him, he's obviously a confidence player, just lacking a bit at the moment.

I for one dont want any ex gooner in my team.

Does that mean you want O'Hara out?

Bentley is tainted unfortunately and spending a few years in quarantine up in the frozen north ain't gonna make him better.

I still think Bentley should be playing in the centre.

That said, he's exactly what we need in that position. We don't need a right-winger.
