when 5-1 up teams do take their foot off the gas but there’s a difference between seeing out the game 5-1 and being sloppy. In this case we gave Burnley encouragement and they pulled a goal back. The subs have all been off the pace.

Fantastic performance, and showed massive character after going down so early. No coincidence though that when we start making subs - we concede a sloppy goal. I’m not going to be negative though! Loved that! Sonny HAS! HAS to play up top for the forseeable!

So. We have a very good first XI. The squad though is either very young or a bit of a drop off in quality I think it's fair to say.

This rebuild was never going to happen in just one summer I suppose.

Sloppy goals either end of the match notwithstanding... that was fucking fun. I absolutely love Madds, and I'm delighted to see Son get another hat-trick.

I'm especially glad we won, because I'm about to watch Monchengladbach get cuffed by Munchen. They've got some new fancy dan striker it seems...
