Depleted? The game is on 27th or 28th of Jan. By then VDV will be fully back and we'll have the Dragon, Royal, hopefully Kelly and Romero might be back by then as well. We can't always rely on other teams to knock these big guns out, let's do our own dirty work. Bring 'em on!
Well we won't likely have Dragon, or Kelly, or Romero for that matter.

It will be on tv, hopefully not another Friday but then with playing the following Wednesday might be better for the players. It will be Interesting to see how the teams return from the winter break.
It will be on ITV on Friday night. Clubs just need to agree to the date

Is that true? Surprised if it is really considering they said games will be played weekend of 27th. Although good if they get that extra rest before the following Wednesday and neither has a replay next week so still get a decent winter break.

That's what I've been told. Man U on BBC on Sunday, Ipswich on Saturday. ITV had first pick this round. I'm not sure the 7k city fans will enjoy it too much as no trains back after match so be a stay over. Wonder if ITV will put another line up of ex gooners on the panel

Having seen the photo of the Burnley goalkeeper in the Benty topic it reminded me of my frustration at the match on Friday. When the goalkeeper went up for the corners near the end there were 20 players in the final 1/4 of the pitch with their other two ten yards back. What I did not understand is why we pulled all our players back to defend with no out ball. We invited the pressure and allowed them to push right onto us and they should have scored from the last one. We do this all the time, and have done since Poch so it is not something new. We have a number of players who are not best at defending or tackling. Sonny being the worst. I just do not understand why Sonny, Gill or another fast player does not hover near the halfway line for a lob up field for them to run onto. This would at least make them think and put pressure on them. Too many times the first ball is defended only for it to be sent back into our box. If the opposition are watching for sonny etc it must help relieve the pressure?

no date for tickets yet but will be interesting to see if they retain the lower cost of FA Cup tickets

Have to feel sorry for the City fans who want to go to the game. I would be surprised if the ticket price is the same as it was for Burnley

It's a fair trech from the the far east, but will be worth it to see a good stadium for them.

Pretty rubbish slot for fans who want to go. Clearly the big match of the round, shouldn't really have the worst slot but ...........
It’s ITV who have caused this. They had the first pick of games for this round so wanted this game. Their prime time slot is Friday evening otherwise they have to change tv schedules around and that’s too much effort so we go Friday evening. Their Saturday slot is on itv4 and Sunday slots are early afternoon and won’t get the viewers

In my mind I'm thinking a huge game like this should attract as big an audience on Sunday 2.30 as Friday 8pm . Maybe they offered both to the 2 clubs and they chose the Friday because of midweek PL games.

No this isn’t on the club. ITV told them it would be Friday. Evening is by far the biggest viewing and cost of advertising is much greater so for them this is prime time. They pay the money for the rights. Us fans just have to go along with it. Just need to see the club make this a category A game and charge us £90 a ticket to top it off!

Sorry if this has been brought up but did anyone catch Vicario absolutely laying into Sessegnon post match?

I hadn’t seen this. Not sure what they were taking about but whatever it was seems to have made Emerson pretty annoyed with Vicario afterwards as well.

Vicario has definitely stepped up as a leader for the defence though. I remember seeing a video of him getting all the defensive players together in a huddle after the Forest game a couple of weeks ago celebrating the clean sheet.

I was at the game and witnessed it from the stands, we decided that it was because of the last second chance Burnley had and should've scored, and Vic was upset about the marking from Sess although I've not seen it back on TV so can't confirm if that was the case.
