Didn’t realise that so it explains the fee at least, but I would’ve thought he would’ve had better options than Brighton. I always liked him whenever I saw him play. What a step down from Ajax...

Batshuayi gone to Palace on loan again.

I feel like all of the bottom half teams are signing sensible and good players, predicting who's going down feels a lot harder than usual.

I don't tink Veltman would have had that many better options tbh.

Brighton are now an established PL club and it's a good move for a player who was in and out of an Ajax team. Also, when Veltman was a regular starter for Ajax,they weren't that good.

Veltman played for the netherlands, but he is behind VVD, De Ligt, De Vrij and probably Ake too. He has been playing because of injuries. Used to be hyped, mostly due to a good 2014 world cup where he was praised along side Martins Indi and Vlaar. Neither player would have been a particularly good Brighton signing.

Ah that'll be because in a continued show of SC genius, his player thread has now been moved to the Transfers forum, meaning a massive percentage of the site is now unable to discuss a player who has been at the club for 13 years.

Because reasons.

I’m not banned from there but I still couldn’t find it.

Entirely possible that I have the thread starter on ignore though.

Edit: Can see it now, but someone threw a Lyall tweet in there so I shall ignore it.
