If Bale goes this season it will be for much less than billy big bollocks Perez has been leaking. He has no intention of paying anywhere near that. It's either Levy bends over for them or he stays. They won't match our valuation.
Did you really consider Levy bending over for them?
How likely is that?:)

Although annoying, its good in a way that we as a club are getting international press from the Bale saga. If we can keep him now it would have the whole football world in shock...amazing for sponsorship and commerical opportunites! Why anyone is worrying about RM getting Bake cheap I do not know - his the face of the premiership, BT sport, HP etc... all that would be torn up and no way will we take the hit - RM will have to pay a gigantic fee im sure of it.

Comments keep cropping up along the lines of Spurs releasing a statement - but it's a slippery slope. Do you start releasing statements every time something incorrect is printed as fact? I'm sure we'd be releasing a lot of statements.

As Matty said, we have actually already released statements, lots of them, all of which said Bale would not be sold. We can second guess the 'silence' from Spurs as much as we wantt, but we'll get no nearer the truth of the matter and probably a lot closer to A&C brandishing his 'authoritah'.

Thats because i'm a wise fucker :)

Why can't we just agree some sort of pre contract agreement with Real Madrid for next season, would give us time to find an adequate replacement and still let Bale fulfil his dreams of playing for an elite club.

Name and shame
We don't want slags like that at the club.

You may not want them there but at this level of football, to get rid of all of those types of players, you'd have a zero-man squad.

Ah, the willy/won’t he continues…
I have decided that he is not leaving. And even if he does, I’m going to continue to pretend that he hasn’t, reminiscent of my dad’s continual support for Paul Allen even when he wasn’t on the pitch. I remember one such occasion in the early nineties at Bramall Lane in what was, I believe, Paul Allen’s last appearance for the club. He was a substitute that night, a fact that had not registered with my dad who, throughout the first half shouted “Come on, Paul Allen!” at a scampering Gordon Durie and, confusingly, also Jason Dozzell. I can well remember the faces of those amongst our support sat around us, who half-turned and querulous, looked toward us whilst I responded with a shrug and a Gallic lip and he continued oblivious.
I suppose his support for the man goes some way to explaining why he currently has him tied up in his Man Cave. To Paul’s credit, he still responds to the shout of “Come on, Paul Allen!” though now it is only to advance on all fours to his cat bowl to lap milk or lick jelly coated chunks of regurgitated Rabbit and Chicken into his mouth. He’s got him very well trained. Perhaps Mr Levy could heed this tale and learn a lesson?
And so to Bale…willy/won’t he? Well, if he does, don’t be expecting to see him at Madrid. My dad’s Man Cave has room for one more

You may want to check your dad's man cave resident more closely , Paul allen works for the PFA. ;)

I have been saying that for weeks now. They want to make Bale unhappy and therefore force a move at a lower price.

Well Barcelona added a statement saying not for sale about Cesc again, so if Barcelona think its wise to issue a second hands off public shot across United's bows, then i do wonder why we haven't after ALL the media hype not done the same.

Once more would be enough.
No, to me we want the speculation, either because there is truth and we needn't therefore bother fighting it (but still want time to get replacements in) OR because it benefits us and or Bale in other ways commercially.

Otherwise you would have to wonder.

But what happens if he has a bad season or gets injured? It's not like he is selling (if he does) for £40/50mill, we are talking £85 million (if reports are to believed) here. You'd be a brave man to turn that sort of money down.

What happens if??? But what happens if he does a Ronaldo and scores 30-40 goals for us next season and doesnt get injured?? All moot points really. o_O

depends on the context

If i was talking to Bale i would tell him to hand in a transfer request if he really wants to leave, or to get his head down and start playing where he belongs

Exactly.

He could be 10 months into his contract with TalkTalk, and heard about the BT Sport deal when you get BT Broadband, and Not even Bale could resist that, so a good friend at the club told him to put in his transfer request to TalkTalk.

I don't think it's likely but that's the two outcomes.

Madrid have leaked the obscene bids to whirl up the media frenzy and increase the speculation. If it was leaked they were to bid £45 million say... You think nearly as many people would care as they knew Levy would decline.

They hope to have turned Gareth's head with the lame 'now or never' statement. The ideal situation for them is Bale puts a Modric weakening our position massively and they get him for cheap.

We just need Levy to hold his nerve and not waver from his stance once, he's available but at OUR price

Honestly I think bale needs a strong character to get a grip on him ATM his head is all over the place surely he's a shy young quiet lad he doesn't like a fuss so this must be kind of like his worst nightmare he's getting pushed against a wall and I personally think he would be pretty easy to manipulate

If we're not going to publicly reiterate that he's not for sale, then why not take a leaf out of Salvo's book and publicly issue a deadline, stating that Real Madrid are aware of our demands and that if they are not met by <enter date here> then he will not be sold. Obviously as I'm typing this, I realise that any public intention that we make of selling him weakens our position in the transfer market so we're actually in a really, really difficult position. I'm just extremely worried that it'll drag on and on and we'll lose him towards the end of the window and be unable to replace him. Not even a sniff of ITK on any potential replacements is quite worrying.

Poster by the name of ITKbollacks was trolling last night, got incredibly neg rated and provided entertainment for us all.
By 'us all' I hope you aren't including the people who had to spend their time dealing with the duplicate account, removing posts, tidying up the thread, dealing with the person in question with the original account etc etc :(

I don,t think bale is going, I think why the club is quiet is becos all the media coverage is good for tottenham more global coverage.
Rm are trying to tie up CR7 and I think they sounded out tottenham about GB just as a back up plan, if he was available this year all the rich teams would want him Rm would,nt get a clear run on him.
If GB plays against monaco or not I don,t think means anything players play matches then get sold the next day.
I think DL has shown AVB and GB in this transfer window that we are serious and if we tweak the squad just a little who knows also its world cup year players value always go up after the tournament .
Lloris, vertonghen, dembele, Sandro, Paulinho, Ade, Defoe, lennnon, Chadli, Walker, Bae, Hudd, Parker, Dawson, Soldado, Kaboul we have some World class players plus experienced good epl players and add the best player in the league and young astute manager this is the year got to go for it.
