With some better final balls we would have thrashed them. Looking forward to Richarlson first Spurs goal, he will go bonkers. Such a clever player with an excellent footballing brain.

With the win against Fulham... Tottenham have now won each of their first three home matches of a Premier League campaign for just a third time, having previously done so in 2000/01 and 2002/03.

In the last few games Son has looked poor, but he was purely just unlucky today. The one off the bar and the one which deflected off Ream and over looked like certain goals, and he forced at least one more good save from Leno in the second half.

Absolutely gutted for him that he didn't open his account today, but certainly better than he has been in recent matches.

Son had his best game so far this season, Kane and Richarlison both very sharp. The two in midfield were both excellent and the back 3 were great ( our best 3 imo) .
Sess was ok , still needs to believe in himself a bit more.
Emerson is getting better and a very good full back, not so great going forward ( basically he can’t cross).
I See us getting better and better as the season goes on.
Shame we have an away match against the best team in the world next week,. It’ll be amazing if we get something from them.

If anyone could, it's us. I can see another very close encounter

I agree on the whole, he's still guilty of jumping on tweets like Nixon's "we are in for Dan James" as though it's the end of the world though. It was only ever the case he was offered by his agent, we knew we could get him and we enquired how much?

Yeah, I noticed that with a lot of people including outside this forum as if panic was setting in so all of a sudden that story was being taken as if it was fact, seemingly because Chelsea got linked with a player which also didn't happen. I got irritated with a lot of friends because they were having a pop at the club over a story that had no meat on the bone. Was very relieved it didn't happen because I was very entrenched in the belief it wouldn't.

Very good game I thought. We did need to make more out of our chances though. Son in particular, while he otherwise had a good game, his finishing wasn't good enough. He needs a goal.

I thought we took off Kane too early. I guess he does need a rest. But it almost came back to bite us. His presence was very important in making the ball stick. Mitro is a special player but we did well to manage him most of the game.

I did feel the refereeing was pretty poor. No idea how Ried finished the game. Fulham's defense isn't of PL quality either.
Not surprising really. I believe Atwell was on VAR duty on Wednesday at WH and after 4 and a half minutes of reviewing the videos of the penalty claim he still couldn’t see that the ball clearly hit Cantwell’s head before his hand and had to ask the match referee to look at the monitor!!!! Everybody else could see it in first viewing. One of the most damning examples of how poor the standard of PL refereeing has descended to.

We made hard work of what should have been an easy victory, but got their in the end and 3pts are all that matter.
On another day we would have been 4 or 5 up, but plenty of positives from today and our front three/four starting to look much more cohesive.
Richy MOTM and unlucky not to get his goal, but great performance in the middle from Bentancur who covered every blade of grass today.

Great performance. Should have been at least 5 nil though. It felt like the officials didn’t want us to score any of our goals

What happened with Richarlison and the disallowed goal I couldn’t see from my seat?

Agree... The bubble will burst when he nets his first of the season... I was pleased how Son, Richy and Kane played together. And we have Kulu as well... wow ?

How can you tell we played well...... The match thread was only 42 pages at the final whistle.

What does that tell you about how vocal the negativity is compared to the positivity on here.
To be fair when people have a reason to be positive they prefer to ride that wave into something else in their life straight away. Generally a good way of doing things in my experience

Richarlison is a much better player than I had thought previously.

He is a real crowd pleaser.

Deserves to keep his place.

They’re probably all still in the Conte thread from yesterday!

Brilliant performance and 2-1 massively flattered Fulham.

Can’t fault any of them, lots of good possession and endeavour. It all came from a solid platform and it was glaringly obvious how much more comfortable we were playing out from the back with Romero and Lenglet in. It allowed our wing backs to play higher and wider. Sess was involved throughout, if he can just gain that extra bit of decisiveness, he can go up a level. Royal similarly solid on the other side without the attacking output.

Bentancur and Hojbjerg controlled things brilliantly in midfield. Skipp and Bissouma are going to have earn it to dislodge these two as first choice pairing.

Kane was great as was the dynamic Richarlison. Special mention to Sonny. Things aren’t going for him in front of goal but his effort and endeavour was without question. Goals are coming, starting midweek.

A much needed tonic and beautiful to see us play well and create plenty.

Why wasn't Spence on the bench Emerson is just shit going forward

Has about 1 decent cross in 10
He does give it a go though and makes every attempt to get right up there to put the crosses in. Sessignon has all the attributes to be the far superior wing back but doesn't make every attempt to do it like Royal, if he can get that mentality he'll be a proper wingback.
Not knocking just an observation on what I saw today.

Yeah I think his post match today is much clearer but it'll probably be ignored by some. He says we can't afford to make mistakes with transfers. It's clear he means we can't just buy to fill gaps, because we will be buying again in 6-12 months time. He's said this from the start. We have not bought well in the past, and we are now paying the price for that by not being able to sell them.

They've automatically interpreted it to mean he wanted them all this window and it just isn't the case. Fact is we could have spent more this window, but is it really worth it if Conte didn't want them and it affects us for the next few years as they move from loan to loan.
