If Sporting win they are just about qualified.

Not sure of Frankfurt’s form, but they seemed a decent team based on performances in Europa league last season. They also have players who are comfortable with the ball (unlike a lot of our players who act as though the ball is a live grenade and can’t wait to get rid) so I expect us to be chasing shadows for most of the game, unless Conte suddenly has confidence in the team and let’s them play.

Do we want a Marseille Sporting draw? assuming we will win then Marseille winning is fine but if we lose then need Sporting to win and I guess we can be discounted of finishing top.

Would like to see some rotation or reaction from the manager. Many games this season we've surrendered the midfield irrespective of how much Holbj and Benta run around or try and link. So i'd like to see a personnel change to see if that changes things, or a formation change to holt the problem.

We can acknowledge that things haven't clicked just yet, especially with linking to the forwards, but 'error carried forward' would really piss me off this eve. Even if Conte is persisting to see it click properly.

When will Spurs fans get it through their skulls that Conte isn't trying to "win the midfield" when he plays the 343.

It's a tactical and strategic choice he's making. He's not going "gee I thought PEH and Bents would boss this 3/4 man midfield why is it going wrong ffs?!"

He wants to draw that opposition midfield in; by pass them quickly with a series of automated passes and fashion a shot on goal with a very high XG. The side effect of this strategic/tactical choice is that the opposition controls midfield and possession. That's frustrating to watch for Spurs fans but its' generally successfull - as it was against Arsenal on Sunday where Spurs had the better XG despite Arsenal's apparent "dominance" - until Hugo chucked the ball in his own net.

Having said all that - I, too, hope Conte plays a 3 man midfield with Bissouma because I prefer that type of football.

I don't get how Conte "trusts" Royal but doesn't want to lose so won't pick Doherty and doesn't think Spence is ready to play.
