I want a ref who will be fair, but expect one who will be swayed by the crowd and the Man U players hassling him.
I want a win, but expect the opposite because of the above. I will be happy with a point and a good performance
I think he has lost confidence...seen him so many times recently knock the ball back / inside rather than ripping past the defender. Was pleased to see him go past the man and cross for Pav's goal. Just needs to win a couple of tussles on the wing and he will be back to form
I met him early in december when he was walking his dogs on the beach. One of the nicest people I have ever met...he was on the phone and rang off, then whilst we were chatting, it rang again. Rather than excusing himself and taking it, he turned the phone off and carried on walking / talking...
I must have been watching a different Lennon tonight...thought he was poor as he left a slow corluka alone several times to mark two Villa players (including a lightning quick Ashley young) His touch was rubbish and only showed any guile in flashes.
Villa are a team we are supposed to be "as...
Agree with your comments whole-heartedly. Cant believe some of the muppets on other threads where whinging that we played so badly and almost to the fact that our season was over before it began. Questions on selection...Bale should start away over a left wing Lennon, King benched whilst Daws...
Surely a player with a slightly lesser ability than Berba who wants to play for us will be better than a moody Berba who doesnt? As much as I hope he stays and sorts his head out (and stops doing a Kevin & Perry strop on the pitch when people dont do exactly as he wants), if he doesnt he will...
Hate them with a passion. Couldnt believe the way they reacted when Tevez kicked the ball out for a Chelsea throw rather than giving it to feet after an "injury", when they had done exactly the same twice in the same half. Short minded f-wits one and all of them...especially Drogba for flicking...
I am pleased you have raised this...I was gonna do the same but was afraid of being shot down in flames like last time I made a negative comment about someone. I like Steed...his effort is always there to see and we need players who want to work for the team. BUT his form since Xmas has been...
He was played because he has European experience, has a left foot he can use and to start him in EPL would be too fast a pace to get into so quickly. I still expect him to feature against Spam and think he will do well for us.
It is always going to be a gamble punting the ball downfield, but some play the ball short a lot more than Robbo (dont get me wrong, I still want him to play for us). Gambling we will win the long ball means we dont ensure we keep possession. end of.
Zokora (why can no one spell his bloody name right?)- I think you are wrong. He worked tirelessly against Chelsea and cut out some important moves. Yes he gave two dodgy free kicks away and missed when clean thru...but who else made that type of run on the day, JJ?? No-one.
Robbo's...
I agree with you Flatters...I know he made a massive mistake and also gave away a free kick in a bad position, but thought he looked cultured and attacking. I hope he learned from last night and will torment the Spammers this weekend. Dont know who said he was lucky to stay on the pitch...that...
