I thought the official site might wait until this thread has had more views than the capacity of WHL, but we've passed that already...

I hope they're waiting to make a double announcement and it's the other transfer that's taking a while to complete (Capel hopefully).

His name is Gio!
He is a Yido!
He'll score us goals all day!
Grew up at Camp Nou
Wears the white and blue
Come down and see him play!

(To La Cucaracha)

I've been trying to come up with a Giovanni son to Cucaracha myself. I wasn't sure if it definately a Mexican song or not. It Goes

oh - Gi - O - Vanni
oh - Gi - O - Vanni
Who needs Ronaldinho?
oh - Gi - O - Vanni
oh - Gi - O - Vanni
get the ball and score a goal!

Followed by Mexican waves and showers of Nachos falling from the sky. Chirpy with a sambraro playing a banjo.:violin:

I like your thinking mate.
What do you think of the Dos Santos signing?
I have seen him play for Barca and i think he could do the business in the Premiership.

I like the Nachos falling from the sky idea.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the song is Mexican though.

A five-year contract for 6 million Euros, with clauses amounting to another 5 million Euros, plus a sell-on clause, represents an excellent deal.

It suggests Barca do not have a buy-back option - which is crucial.

Do any contract lawyers know precisely what the following phrase means?:

"FC Barcelona also maintain 20% of the financial rights to any possible transfer of the player during his first two years of contract and 10% on any transfer from his new club, Tottenham Hotspur FC."

Specifically, if the 10% is a sell-on clause (ie Barca get 10% of any future transfer fee), what are the "financial rights to any possible transfer... during the first two years of contract"? Does this mean it's 20% of any transfer fee in the first two years? Or are the "financial rights" something different?
