I now see John Cross, resident gooner peddaling that spurs are at best a mid table club without kane.

When did journalism become such a lazy occupation, there is no nuance to that statement, and it's just clickbait nonsense.

Spurs are going through transition, however thay doesn't mean they are a mid table club. It's just lazy journalism.

Give me that view in the media every day. There’s a massive correlation with us being under estimated and getting a champions league place and then being predicted to get one and not.

well john cross excepted most pundits' season predictions I've heard - admittedly via decent podcasts I don't read trash like the Daily Mail or Sun - all had us between 5th and 8th and just about all said it was really hard to predict because outside of Man City there are 8 clubs you could see getting, or not getting, top 4.

Sorry, that's a boring post....next time I will share what some sub-Merson dunderhead has said and we can all get angry :sneaky::p

Anyone see Jamie O’Hara on sky sports news doing the 2 games on Sunday? Before our game he was going through our team and said Lo Celso wasn’t particularly good for Spurs last season.

Which is technically correct seeing as he was at Villareal. Silly ****.

It’s the ex spurs pundits who really get my back up. Anything for a cheap laugh. Lineker is the worst and should stay off social media. I was always taught never to bite the hand that feeds, in their case fed. Poor show.

Of course we’re going to get ‘bantered’, we’re currently on our longest trophy drought since the world wars… a few home truths aren’t a big issue, maybe it calls out the owners.

Likewise, we finished 8th and sold our best player, and as yet haven’t replaced him. I’m really positive about Ange but you can’t exactly blame the press for looking at us with a manager new to this league and no Kane and thinking we’ll struggle. Especially if it turns out we’ve actually spent the Kane money already.

Basically, wouldn’t get worked up about it, hopefully we surprise everyone but it’s not that outrageous that people don’t rate our chances, we’ve given them more than enough evidence to support that position.

I can think of far more 'pundits' and 'experts' that don't have a sodding clue about most other teams than the one they played for and/or football generally than ones who actually do know what they're talking about.

He genuinely has a dislike for foreign players.

Any weakness on a foreign player's part, he jumps on it. If they are British though "they should be given time"
I’m sure he thinks VdV is no better than Dier and is blocking Tanganga’s progress

Thanks for that.
I've been trying to teach my son that although all these people get paid to talk about football, the reality is that they know fuck all and that's just provided me with the perfect example.

I didn't even have to finish what O'Hara had said before my lad screwed up his face and said "but he wasn't even with us last season?!".

Exactly my boy, exactly.

Why does anyone take any notice of what any of these “pundits” say in the media, anyway?
All of them spout utter sewage like some lard caked poo fountain.
