Every time I try and listen to Talksport all I hear is total rubbish, in this video at 2:35 Jordan says 2018/19 season we reached Champions League Final , absolutely true he then says the following season we didn't spend a dime , absolute rubbish . We went out and spent a record fee for us at the time on N'dombelly plus Lo Celso & Sess

And Jack Clarke. It was the most backed Poch ever was, culminating in his worst season as manager. But we know these pundits are lazy as shit and don't actually care to do any research/due diligence. They get paid to hear their own voices

True, it was just a waste of money rather than not spending money haha. We also inexplicably sold Trippier, Rose, and Eriksen.

Also true but Eriksen wanted a new challenge and was getting flak from a lot of fans, Rose was having various problems also complaining about his wages etc , Trippier was also getting flak from certain quarters but it was a mistake letting him go in hindsight.

I’ve heard him say this a few times now, he’s clearly getting it mixed up with the previous season where we didn’t spend anything. In fairness it was five/six years ago now. It’s a shame no one has pulled him up on it though.

We'll keep one of the keepers for HG status, especially for Europe.

Most of the predictions I've seen have us among the 4-6th-placed positions; seems fairly evident we'll be challenging T4 again.

Honestly, though, sack the league off and win the Europa. Trophy and a place in the CL, we just need to make sure we don't get relegated, job's a good'un...

I'm saying fifth or sixth. I think Arsenal, City, Liverpool, Villa and UTD will finish above us.

Fair prediction IMO. We haven’t done enough to improve the team yet this summer.
I agree. I actually think this seasons top 6 might he the hardest to predict in a long time.

City, United, Spurs, Arse, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, Villa and even West Ham all in the mix for top 4 before a balls been kicked.

I expect a season of transition for Liverpool, Villa may struggle with CL but have really good squad depth, Chelsea might get into gear but could also go bust, I think Newcastle will be better again this season. Tough one. Wouldn't blame any pundit for placing us anywhere between 3rd-7th.

Personally I think we'll in the mix for 4th but could just miss out, we've got some young and exciting players who I think will need this season to bed in. I'd be happy to get a top 5 finish with top 4 being the goal for the end of next season. A cheeky trophy in addition to that would go down nicely too.

Oh you lot are underestimating the strength of a second season under Agne.

Its not just about recruitment, such black and white thinking.

He's had another pre season and hopefully we wont have half the team out injured for big chunks of the season.

I think we'll finish third or fourth.

We"ve a better squad than United and Villa to.

Yeah I think these predictions of 6th/7th are off.

Feels like somethings brewing but I genuinely can't work out if it's 2nd/3rd or a massive fail and more like 10th.

love that optimism, and hope you're right.

i don't share it based on pre-season, the business done so far, and what still needs fixing in the squad. plus feels like a lot of ither teams will be more competitive this season.

would dearly love to see us lift a trophy of some description.

Loving @Mr Pink positivity here, and I agree with him.

I actually think it may even be a fight for top between us and arsenal... I know that sounds ridiculous, but hear me out with some weird mental maths.

Liverpool - new manager, no klopp, won't be thr same.

City - peps last season... maybe... potential charges coming through this season , can see a drop off.

Villa, Chelsea and United - not massively great recently (well villa did unreal last year but with CL this year going to be tough).

Top 2 finish for me LOL
