can we take this to the ‘Arry is a Freeloading Spongebag thread? I’ve got plenty more to offer.

He isn't Spurs and never has been. He just happened to be our manager for a while.
Trust me when I say he is 100% Spurs. When I met him last year for this photo he lit up when he saw the shirt. The whole night he spoke highly of the club. He is a big supporter of ours.

I tend to listen out for pundits that actually give us credit when it's due. Sadly very few do, even after yesterday and the week we had. Going into that week we shouldn't have come out smashing United like we did. Everyone should have been knackered well and truly.

Shame, but José was right when he said nobody respects us. That may actually work in our favour with him as boss. I remember a few seasons back Dier said after we beat City (I think) that we didn't get the credit we deserve. We still don't.

MOTD were kind

I don't care who he 'talks up'. He was an Arsenal fan as a boy, he played for West Ham and subsequently managed them. He managed Portsmouth twice and several other clubs, of which we were one. To say that he's Spurs is just fucking stupid.
Spurs were the pinnacle of his managerial career. He's bound to be fond of his time at the club.

I don’t doubt they’d have stuck the knife into JM had we lost, for about 5 minutes.

The rest of the time they’d have been banging on about Utd’s title challenge.

Sky have zero impartiality, they devoted all that time on Utd because they were only ever going to devote that time to Utd, win or lose.

I certainly agree re sky, it has totally gone downhill. I see it as a parody of what it used to be.

I'm a big fan of NFL and I watch their punditry, I see just as much impartiality if not more. So it isn't just limited to football here nor just sky.

I do find BT sport to be pretty good.

You realise that you can pretty much say the same thing about Defoe apart from the management part, you wouldn't say he wasn't Spurs.

Harry's a lad. Knows he was at his peak with us, knows he blew it, accepts it, but has no resent over it.

Mutual respect, and he knows we look after him more than that 2 bit club he devoted a fair bit of his life to.

Absolutely. DL have him the chance to manage at the top table and he rebelled in it. Did a great job so is Spurs. As for his son ... best he go back to Liverpool and stay there

Why are you such a twat? He was actually a delight, very nice to everyone. I'm sorry if he pissed on your cornflakes in the past or something, but I am just giving you my experience.

Hahaha. It’s ok to admit that he asked to borrow a tenner and never gave it back. Nothing to be ashamed of

Football Weekly and The Totally Football Show were good listens on today's episodes. For FW it helps that Max Rushden's dad is a Spurs fan.

Didnt Rushden once say that when he joined soccer am they said you can’t say you’re a spurs fan. That he had to say he was a Cambridge fan. I’m sure I read it once.
