I prefer Davies to Rose, and I would still play Eriksen before Son.

I prefer Rose's pace and the chance to put them on the back foot with his overlapping. Eriksen is not really in form imo so could make way in this one for Son to build his confidence against a lesser team. We'll see what Poch reckons later. The most important part is having Dembele and Dier in front of Toby and Verts to neutralise the Deeney Ighalo threat. Hopeful we can play in a similar way as the Norwich match and pick them apart on the counter.

Poch ain't changing a winning team. Will make changes if need during game

I'm expecting Son to come in for Lamela, not because he played badly the last game, which he didn't of course, but I think it was pre-determined before the Norwich game. Some players left a little in the tank in the 2nd half against Norwich but Lamela didn't, so I'm guessing he was told he wouldn't be starting against Watford.

Eriksen and Alli being subbed was a clear indication they'd be starting this game.

As most people have said...very hard game.

I believe if the first 30 minutes are 0-0 then we should be able to kick on from there with our superior fitness comes into play. We have to remember they also played on Saturday and have a smaller and older squad.

due to the short recovery time between games today I expect a lot of individual mistakes from players in all of today's games. Just hope it's none of our boys!!

A tough game for the lads over at their manor. They have to be up for this. Glory does not come without pain and Watford will run us into to the ground but I think we will persevere. Could be the turning point of our season if we win this one.

I feel exactly the same way. Not liking it at all
I think their front two will be a real test of our defence with Dier having to support them well. Unlike the game against Newcastle I guess should we lose it won't seem too bad as they are the most in form team around

I do understand that Watford are playing well and clearly punching above their weight, but FFS let's not overplay the anxiety. Some folks on SC here are terrified of what capoue and gomes might do today... zheesh  And the old limited rest thing and Spurs are gonna be tired... watford have the same short schedule. C'mon SC brothers and sisters, have a little faith :pompous:

watford are terrified of what Kane and Alli are going to do to them -- to dare is to do!!! :jimlad::playful:

And rightly so they are the form team in the league.

I think terrified is overstating it a bit, people are wary and for good reason.

Ok. Team question.

I'm on a train into London which arrives soon. A gent wearing a red and white scarf has asked me what time we hit paddington. I replied this isn't the train to paddington. Which is technically correct as they've all been diverted. I've now noticed his got a bit paniky and didn't realize we are still going to London. Do I tell him that all is good, or let him think he's en route to Birmingham or something.

Also, think he's cutting it very fine.

I see your point. I just believe watford have everything to worry about. Spurs form this season is outstanding and we have a number of players who can/will put the ball in the back of the net. Spurs have far more depth than them, so the short schedule here is an advantage for Spurs, not watford. wary? a bit.... but it's watford who are/should be terrified ;):jimlad::ninja:

It's seems the guy's only crime is wearing a red and white scarf, if he hasn't been rude to you then there is no need to lie.
