I'm already desperate for Gil to hit the ground running and be what Ginola was for us under Graham if we don't manage to sneak in another creative/playmaker.

I've liked what i have seen of him so far and he seems keen and a good kid for the little we have seen in the previous match. Nice to see some flashes from Lo Celso too.

It just brings home again the huge huge disappointment of Ndombele though, it should have been his season to step up. Such a shame unless a miracle happens and he has to stay BUT the good start continues and that somehow makes him sort himself out if only to earn a move next summer.

Desperate to see Lloris lift any kind of trophy before he finally leaves too. Such a list of great players that left us with nothing.

Fingers crossed if we have to continue playing this way a little longer that lessons were learned from last season, as bad as it was we had several chances to have snatched top 4 despite everything if we had been a little braver here and there, and our defense doesn't seem as calamitous as last season.

Overall a much "cleaner" attitude around the club, and it already feels so refreshing.

Like a few said, atmos Def felt flat (wonder how many missed the goal, loads did near us on shelf, and looked like even more slipped out on park lane)
That said, lads. It's Watford. Who's main song sounded like "Watford are shit" though assume it was "Watford fc"???

As pleased as I am with the results so far, I am a little concerned that we are being too passive. It certainly isn't Jose levels of sitting back, but I would definitely like to see us being a bit more aggressive with our pressing and our attacking play.

There is a distinct lack of creativity in the midfield and it is a worry that we are fielding 2 holding midfielders at home to Watford.

Its early days and I'm hopeful that nuno is getting our defensive shape sorted first and that he will gradually get us playing with a bit more creativity.

Sanchez was good today but Dier should get a massive pat on the back. Dier is holding his nerve and position and is Sanchez minder. What a good contrasting partnership that can only get better.

You have those moany old ****s too? Must be one in every part of the ground. Like a blow by blow account about how shit every player is all fucking game long.
They are a new service offered by SC “An exciting opportunity to have the SpursCommunity Match thread made real by actual avatars right near your stadium seat. Revel in the groans when Dier’s name is announced in the squad; delight in the 90 minutes of complaining that Dele should be subbed….”

Yup. I mean covid has fucked things for a while as lots of people will be popping their season tickets on ticket exchange. But anything that can be done to increase the number of fans who actually want to come and support the club would be great. I think there are too many people who go along because its become habitual rather than enjoying it. I mean we all moan at things, but the grumpy old men are taking over. I mean, Oliver Skipp is not responsible for Covid-19, the war in Afghanistan or their loveless marriage! Give him a break.

yeah great fill the ground with happy clappy teenagers cos they can sing - as someone who might be quite old and whose been going since the seventies and probably missed 3 or 4 home games in that time not to mention numerous away games but heh that my be a bit habitual -

what a condescending load of rubbish I sat there with plenty of youngsters who have slaughtered players and know next to nothing about football or Tottenham and who have spent most of the game trying to work out the quickest way to the bar at half time or how theit fantasy football team is getting on

We look an organised team - defensively more sound.
The pressing vs City was very good, all across the front line there was pressure at the right times and the ability to hit on the counter.
Realise Watford play totally different game but with Kane back so our emphasis changed. He was now the focal point and the press to counter was not so good until Lucas came on.
The dynamics of the team still need to be worked on, and we miss the ability to hit creative passes when forward runs are made. Today we still missed that midfielder who can run with a ball and slip a pass - which should be where GLC comes in.
Against teams like Watford, and not looking to deride them, but should we need to play both Skipp and PEH? Swapping one adds thar creativity, its not that GLC doesnt get stuck in
Still very much a work in progress but at least this season you can see progress.
Results tend to blur performances. On balance our results 1-0 reflect our performances. Solid at the back and getting some joy with the few chances we create. Im still at odds with the Kane situation so pleased it went well yesterday and will help to move on form it.

With respect, we held onto a few wins like this early on last season too but it didn't last. Eventually, you can't keep riding your luck and hanging onto 1-0 leads in this league. The lack of any progressive substitutions was poor from Nuno and was the exact move (or lack thereof) that Mourinho got slaughtered for last season.

We might have won but it could have been so, so much easier. Not every game needs to be a horrendous slog to the finish. We have the technical quality to simply outclass teams - why drop to their level by not playing these players and choosing instead to scrap to the win?
Who could he have brought on ? Gio hadn’t tipped up any trees since being here , at all .
I don’t think Nuno has the personal…. Yet.

I think we were fitter and stronger than each of our opponents as each of the first 3 games came to the last 15 mins. We could have added a couple more against Wolves and Watford, whereas last season we ran out of steam and could not hold onto our leads. Concentration levels are much higher, particularly the CB's. I also think JEH is making some fine passes in the opponents half, I don't see him as being strictly defensive, as some posters do.

Was 11 games not overall?

I think city or Chelsea were close to beating it a few seasons ago but lost a cup(Europe?) game.

11 in the league, then drew to city and then won the next 4 again before we lost a game in the league.

It wasn't like Jose. Some similiarities okay, but not like Jose. First of all the feeling was that we are going to score second, not that Watford will equalise. We had chances to do that. With more luck or quality it could have been 2 or 3. Second, we did not defended in our penalty box for last 15 mins. Yes I think we were very careful. Since we scored goal we were more on cruise control then rushing for second. Although the word 'control' is key here. I think we had the game under control. And accepting 1:0 was a little bit Jose-esque. But we have to accept that we do not have players we had 4 years ago. Quality of the squad has dropped. I do not expect we will be playing like peak Poch again. There are still several pieces in our squad that has to be improved. Alli for example. I don't like the way he plays in that position. Yes he is working hard across the pitch but he is poor with the ball. He don't have good passing range, he slows down play to often, he dribbles too much. It's not really his position so maybe he will improve with time but for now it's the weakest spot in our eleven IMHO.

You’re clearly a fan who wants to be there. Believe me there are plenty who spend the entire match with a face like a slapped arse moaning. I’m obviously being facetious about the age thing as I go with my 68 year old dad!!!

Spurs fans are so annoying... nothing to really complain about on the pitch, so lets start moaning about each other. Christ. Maybe football isn't for some of you.
