Surprised by the changes but Poch must know best. I still think it should be good enough for a win. And no i am not taking Watford lightly, I just think we are better.

#watfordfc line-up v @SpursOfficial: Gomes (GK); Anya, Cathcart, Britos, Ake; Capoue, Watson; Abdi, Deeney (c), Jurado; Ighalo.

Not many changes for Watford, only 2 in the full back areas apparently. Hopefully we can use our superior fitness levels to our advantage.

So how do we line up? Who's on the left? Ali or Carroll?I'm baffled

Hmm, I think we got the Walker and Trippier thing back to front, much rather see Walker playing today. And Poch really does have a lot of faith in Caroll, hope it's well founded.

I'd have bought more freshness into the team personally and we haven't made the most of our bigger squad.
More than 3??

I'm expecting Son to come in for Lamela, not because he played badly the last game, which he didn't of course, but I think it was pre-determined before the Norwich game. Some players left a little in the tank in the 2nd half against Norwich but Lamela didn't, so I'm guessing he was told he wouldn't be starting against Watford.

Eriksen and Alli being subbed was a clear indication they'd be starting this game.

Horrible three behind Kane for Watford away, no real width, has to be Alli on wing as Carroll wouldn't work anywhere but number 10

Looks at the line up, projectile vomits all over the carpet. Looks at the attacking talent on the bench and thinks WTF seriously WTF Poch.

Son, Carroll and Lamela would of worked well behind Kane IMO - to me that would have a nice balance.

Trippier is my only main worry today but that's inevitable due to resting walker. Bentaleb can't get on the bench because he doesn't deserve to. That's a bloody strong bench already.

I think a lot of fans would prefer Son (myself included) but Carroll deserves his start and if this team is based on form and deserving your place rather than big names (why England have failed for so long) then im all for it. Coys!

All looks a bit narrow, we made that mistake away to West Brom IMO, I hope it won't be the same type of performance.

And wtf with Son, is he playing that badly in training now or something.

Eriksen dropped finally. Poch needs to be proactive and early today on the subs. Bring on fresh legs if its needed eary on in the 2nd half. Happy to see Carroll rewarded again. Would have kept Dembele away from this due to his hip history as you dont want to overwork it. But i certainly understand why you start him as this will be a physical matchup and also Dembele is one of the most important players on the team

I think it reads like a 4-3-3. Perhaps Alli and Lamela on the wings. Chances are Carroll is moving up the pitch to give us quick passing.

Interesting. Son or Chadli wouldve been the obvious replacement for eriksen but apparently poch has other ideas.

Seeing that neither alli nor carroll play on the sides, it'll be down to the fullbacks to cover the flanks. That would mean a very tight midfield. We dont play very well when the players are too close to each other.

A bit worried now.

It's like for like replacements.

And, when Watford are struggling for fitness in the 2nd half, we have plenty of attacking options to come on and take advantage.

I think that team can definitely get a result. Pleased to see Carroll get a start too. Nice to see hard work and form pays off.
