could've been worse, should have been better.

Once again a lump of a Forward makes our back line look like mugs (mainly Daws but Caulker hardly covered himself in glory either)
Poor for both goals; Parker then Jan just unaware of what was around them when they could've affected play, then Caulker backs off (something he did all game allowing far too much time for player on the ball) and shot goes through his legs.

We played some decent stuff, but most of it was the way we were facing, with Holtby the only one (seemingly) that could offer a bit of invention. Having said that, the movement was pedestrian for the most part with no one looking for the ball with any real purpose.

still in there but now out of our hands. :( (well I suppose it's in our hands as much as it is in Chelsea's hands)

Yep. I think our invention normally comes with speed and with L and B out it is a different ball game.

Think people are being far too hard on Walker,

Today he was up and down that pitch time after time, he's not a winger but he was playing RB and RW today to try to give us width.

He's certainly given 100% today and his frustrations show his desire.

I really think the lad would do better with more support and encouragement.

I've rated it winner because he cared more than anyone else on that pitch today, worked his arse off and was the driving force in our goal.

He is fucking brain dead at times though

I think Arsenal have to face Everton next? With Fellaini back? For a 'post Thursday' match, with two attackers out injured, this is a pretty good result all told. Ade and Sigs getting better... itr's all part of the masterplan.

Arsenal will walk all over Everton if they play similar to this next game.

Even without Bale and Lennon's pace we scored two goals, should be enough to win games. But we seem to have forgotten how to defend at crucial times. For the second goal Parker or Dawson could have got to Mirelles as he picked up the ball but left it to each other. Then Caulker's lack of experience was shown up as Mirelles ran at him.
In the last few games, with the possible exception of the Swansea game, our defending has at times been awful. Everton could have won today with better finishing.

Caulker's 1v1 defending is terrible, in my opinion. And I have to echo the comments on here that we've gone to hell at the back. Rotating the centre backs seems to be a factor.

I don't think it's overreacting if finishing top 4 is now OUT OF OUR HANDS.

After that "negative spiral" that Arsenal had, to now be passed, that's really great isn't it.

I remain optimistic. Though I guerss that's my problem!:)

Everton are a good side and showed that until they went 2-1 up and sat back.

Moyes does a great job.

Their second goal was a very good Lennon type strike that we would have been proud of.

Their first I'm not too sure about except to say its difficult to be perfect for 94 minutes.

We did well.

Look we've had this argument before about giving Huddlestone space and time and he will dictate play and when is theory has been put to the test it has failed - miserably.

For God's sake people, look a bit deeper than just a cameo performance!

I'm more concerned with our regular individual and collective lapses at the back which is costing us big style and we now have a problem in that we don't know what our best back line is which is bringing about mistake after mistake on the field.

Goes without saying that Bale and Lennon can't come back soon enough but at least we can take heart of Ade's performance and hope he can spearhead our run in successfully.

Onto Basle and a much needed break!

Who's arguing though mate? He played well when he came on and we looked better as a team. Yep he got the space to do so but it was a good sub to bring him on when the game was well suited for him.

Not sure if you've read the whole thread. Many - including myself - have said he had a blinder overall today. The headless element is what let's him down and is such a huge risk for the team. That's the main bone of contention. I don't think many would say he didn't play very well overall today.

I'm mentally prepared for us to finish 5th now. I had very little optimism left after the Fulham game, but the last of it evaporated today.

Looking forward to a summer of selling Bale, not replacing him at all, and failing to sign anything resembling a striker. Fuck it.

I know what you mean. It was all a bit like watching us lose 2-1 at home to Norwich last season.

Vertonghen was at fault for both goals. Miralaes should have been taken down way before he got to the 18-yard box. Having said that, I think the first Everton goal was a foul.

I think a close family member of yours will die when your house burns down aswell.

Edit: For those who apparantly doesn't get it. Everyone is so fucking doom and gloom it's pathetic. There are plenty of games left and Arsenal have to play Everton, Liverpool and United. It's not over by a long shot.

huddlestone sat back and sprayed some great balls, some telling passes. Thought he made an impact.

I love holtbys endevour but I'm not sure what type of player he is...

relax.....

6 games left...

Arsenil have to play Everton utd and Liverpool as well.

The draw stops everton from getting within touching distance. we will get bale lennon and defoe back, cities form away from isn't great.

Hope sunderland get a equaliser

It's not over yet... just a bit more awkward. A draw isn't a terrible result against Everton - but we needed more.

If Everton (including Fellaini and Pieenar) can get a draw against Arsenal, this point will keep us 4th.

Would be nice for Sunderland to beat Chelsea - but it was always unlikely. They've got bigger obstacles to come though....

Our annual bottle job is in full swing now, 4 points from the last 12 and 2 easy games coming up next with City at home and Wigan away. Only Spurs eh......

Relieved to get a point rather than nothing at all. Onward to the next games, hopefully we can get past Basel, and then surprise everyone with a shock win against City.

On a plus point i think Ade showed his willingness for the cause, and Siggi showed he is really getting into his stride.

Dempsey i have defended him all season but even Carrol out of position would have had a bigger impact.
