I really enjoyed it, for a draw. Thought we played really well.

Totally agree. Thought we played some excellent stuff at times. Two lapses cost us although give Mirallas credit for the 2nd.

Comments on here that we were "gutless" and "shocking" are insane.

Hoping that with Fellaini and Pienaar back Everton can take points off the Goons. The Chavs are 2-1 up

Well we've seen Huddlestone being deployed in midfied from the start before this season and he is clueless in defence and under pressure because he needs time and space to do what he is good at.

Well so does Michael Carrick and hes doing ok insnt he. Huddlestone is a very very good player and with the right mix of players he is a vital cog in the wheel

Look we've had this argument before about giving Huddlestone space and time and he will dictate play and when is theory has been put to the test it has failed - miserably.

For God's sake people, look a bit deeper than just a cameo performance!

I'm more concerned with our regular individual and collective lapses at the back which is costing us big style and we now have a problem in that we don't know what our best back line is which is bringing about mistake after mistake on the field.

Goes without saying that Bale and Lennon can't come back soon enough but at least we can take heart of Ade's performance and hope he can spearhead our run in successfully.

Onto Basle and a much needed break!

Confident at a home draw when so much is at stake? I'm not so sure about that. I don't mean to discredit Everton but they missed big players like us today and we threw it away with shite defending.

Agree a draw is not good and yes our defending was very poor but we built momentum in that second half and it sometimes means more than results to players mentality. E.g Inter away in the champs league. We lost but we came out of it much more psyched for the next game than they were

Even without Bale and Lennon's pace we scored two goals, should be enough to win games. But we seem to have forgotten how to defend at crucial times. For the second goal Parker or Dawson could have got to Mirelles as he picked up the ball but left it to each other. Then Caulker's lack of experience was shown up as Mirelles ran at him.
In the last few games, with the possible exception of the Swansea game, our defending has at times been awful. Everton could have won today with better finishing.

Not a great result, but with 6 games left still in our hands. The boys showed bottle today for snatching a point when things weren't looking good. With Bale and Lennon hopefully back for City we can still do this COYS...

could've been worse, should have been better.

Once again a lump of a Forward makes our back line look like mugs (mainly Daws but Caulker hardly covered himself in glory either)
Poor for both goals; Parker then Jan just unaware of what was around them when they could've affected play, then Caulker backs off (something he did all game allowing far too much time for player on the ball) and shot goes through his legs.

We played some decent stuff, but most of it was the way we were facing, with Holtby the only one (seemingly) that could offer a bit of invention. Having said that, the movement was pedestrian for the most part with no one looking for the ball with any real purpose.

still in there but now out of our hands. :( (well I suppose it's in our hands as much as it is in Chelsea's hands)

Think people are being far too hard on Walker,

Today he was up and down that pitch time after time, he's not a winger but he was playing RB and RW today to try to give us width.

He's certainly given 100% today and his frustrations show his desire.

I really think the lad would do better with more support and encouragement.

We dominated them. The evenly matched canny Everton stuff from the commentary team was beserk.

Chelsea seriously have luck going for them dont them - two deflected goals. Benitez is seriously lucky

no it's not - we can still miss out on 4th if we win all of our remaining games

I'm mentally prepared for us to finish 5th now. I had very little optimism left after the Fulham game, but the last of it evaporated today.

Looking forward to a summer of selling Bale, not replacing him at all, and failing to sign anything resembling a striker. Fuck it.

We dominated possession not them. Having all the possession means nothing if the players can't pass and move in an incisive fashion. We just don't have the fluidity and penetration than Arsenal and Chelsea have.

I don't think it's overreacting if finishing top 4 is now OUT OF OUR HANDS.

After that "negative spiral" that Arsenal had, to now be passed, that's really great isn't it.
