Had a feeling about this game, I posted early doors in this thread that Palace are pretty well placed in the league to really go for the cup, they can prioritize it over the league and might be worth a punt if they can regain their early season form.

No need to overreact I thought we tried really hard and created plenty especially in the first half, we just didn't get the luck we need, as well Palace got away with murder out there today.I don't like to see us lose, but it's a lot better to have this luck run against us in the cup than the league.

You can't pick and choose the competitions to do well in was a great chance to win th fa cup this year and our best chance to win a trophy gone

If this game has not highlighted to Poch that Davies and Trippier are first choice then nothing will. Rose is comical at times and Walker is a shadow of the potential he showed three seasons ago. Jokes the pair of them.

Better not rush out and reward poch with a new contract just yet then. Let's see where we are in the summer and maybe give him one then. No point rewarding him just yet.

Edit: putting this edit in here because people haven't read it properly or maybe I wasn't clear enough.

If he qualifies for the champions league then without doubt he deserves a new contract with higher wages. But what's the point rewarding him now (this week) if he doesn't, with 2.5 years left to go. Makes much more sense to do it in the summer.

Not knee jerk but I don't think Onomah has the skill set to step up to the first team, not sure what he offers us.
On the contrary thought he looked very assured and positive, no worse any of our attacking players today... Very odd comment given the total no show bottling performance Eriksen put in when he came on.

Impossible to win every single game, frankly I would rather our focus be solely on the league and try to win that.

No wonder Bentaleb can't get into the team
He had a good game overall. Bit off the pace but some of his 20/30 yard progressive knocks were great. Masonesque.

When he does that and doesn't try to style it too much he's very effective at setting off attacks from deep. When he goes all hollywood to try and impress the world it goes wrong for him.

It's a key thing he has to learn that will determine how far he goes in the game imo.

Any other season and this would be really shit however with each round it will get harder and more and more games could hamper our challenge for the league etc..

Simply put I'd sacrifice the F.A. Cup for either the league or Europa.

I wasnt allowed to say this earlier, glad youre not getting any stick..

Well that was the worst 45 mins we've played for a long while. I hope we are able to put it behind us quickly and not let it impact the rest of the season. Felt like old frustrating, flatter to deceive, Spurs and I didn't like it one bit!

Oh well can't win them all, we were unlucky not to score and Palace defended like dogs in the 2nd half.

Certainly a bit of rustiness from a few, I hope Dembele isn't injured.

I thought the ref was awful today, it was like a rugby match at times.

shit, half-arsed performance by a team who looked like they didn't wan't to win.

That is why Bentaleb isn't in the team. What an awful, lazy performance. Vorm, Rose, Walker, Mason, Bentaleb and Eriksen all awful.

The only positives to come from that game was Onomah and the fact that it was hopefully Vorm's last appearance for the club this season.

We better fucking win on Thursday.

What did Onomah do?

We did not play that well. We were unlucky on a couple of occasion, however, I don't think that we created enough chances. Goodbye FA cup.
