With due respect, I disagree with your post.

If we had the three quarantined SA players available for this match, I think our starting CBs would have been Dier and Sanchez. When Dier was injured, Romero would have replaced him. I doubt Rodon or Davies would have played in this game, although they might have some game time in the upcoming midweek game. Davies was at fault for one goal and possibly another.

Our starting RB would likely have been Tanganga as he would have been aware of Zaha’s quality and would have been better at handling him as a RB. Not putting any blame on Royal though. Tanganga is more defensive minded than Royal, and would likely, not have been caught up front when Zaha burst down the line , prior to Tanganga’s first booking. He’d also have his CBs covering him, so he might not have made that foul on Zaha, earning him his first yellow. Remember that the score was 0-0 at the point when Tanganga was sent off, so it might have been a different situation if we had eleven players for the full game.

As for the starting midfield, I would have expected GLC to have started over Winks. GLC would have provided better support to our attackers than Winks.
There is a lot of If's and buts there. Why would you think GLC would have started he hasn't so far although I think he should have. There's no doubt Sanchez would have played as he and Dier have been the CB's this season other than that I think Nuno would have picked the side he did.
It will be interesting to see the side that he puts out for the weekend with everyone available with the possible exception of Son.

I don't know what game you were watching, we did not batter them, we struggled to break them down, we had a few good chances to seal the game, but it wasn't a dominant performance, they created chances as well.
I was watching it live and we could and should have scored another 3 good chances. Their keeper made some good saves. Lloris never had any of note to make. Did you watch motd highlights?

Neither GLC nor Winks have started in the first 3 PL games this season, but whilst Winks had come on as a sub only in the Wolves game, GLC had game time as a sub for both the Wolves and Man City games. In the wolves game, GLC came on in the 67th minute whereas Winks was only used in the 90th (probably nothing more than to just to run down the clock).

I think Nuno rates GLC higher than Winks.

The important thing to remember is that everything will be OK; Levy feels that we are making plenty of chances... :ROFLMAO:

I was at the game. We had 3 chances, which I've said we had. We were not dominant, Watford did look dangerous when coming forward, we did not offer much of an attacking threat, it was a very subdued performance, with little happening.

We didn’t lose today because Levy didn’t sanction Traore’s 50M transfer. We lost today because the manger got the starting team/tactics wrong and then did nothing to rectify his error. It’s ridiculous to lay the blame for every defeat at the feet of the chairman. Whatever the pros and cons of the transfer window and despite the absences we had today we still have a better squad selection than Palace so today’s performance is the fault of the coaching staff and players not the boardroom.
So having a whole bunch of players out and lack of depth had nothing to do with it? Strange how every season when we lose players the same thing happens and we drop points to teams we should destroy. Seems to happen regardless of which manager we have. Instead of blindly defending Levy we need to accept that he has not rectified our depth issue which has been present for a long time. He does a great job in some areas but more depth gives the manager more options for the tactics.

As someone who watches Scottish Football, I can assure you we can much much better than him. Good finisher but doesnt offer anything else, when things get tough fans would not warm to him.

How can we get much better than him? We literally got nobody…

The club messed up with the situation surrounding the South American has players but we were really hurt by the absence of Son and Bergwijn. We coped without Sanchez but offered nothing going forward. The manager got it wrong with his team selection too.
